Now THAT sounds like a plan. take them to Nebraska... the safe haven law includes children up to 21 there, not 72 hours. We can just pull up throw them out in front of a church and be good to go Smile

My baby is 17 and has so much hair...legs, pits, chest, arms, back...gross! This hairiness is supposed to decrease as we evolve, isn't it? I'm living with cavemen!

Zoe had her pre-school physical this week and had to pee in a cup. And ever since she's been kind of hinting that she'd like to do it again!

timmy didn't have to do that. Why did they have her do that? What were they testing for? Last time I had to do that was a pre-employment drug screen. I doubt they are testing her for that. lol

I don't know, Missy. But they did it for Zaven and Caly, too, back when they were little. And it was different doctors so maybe it's something standard for the state? Who knows. She has to have an eye exam tomorrow. A real one, not just the screening in the Dr's office. I think that part is my fault, though. The screenings all missed Zaven's cataract for years. The read the same letters or shapes off the chart in the same order each time. 1st both eyes, then left eye (since the nurse standing behind him is right handed) then right eye. He'd memorize it the first two times and recite it the last. He thought it was to test how he remembered things. So when they finally did realize, I went in to the schools and told them how it was missed and encouraged them to look for other kids who may have been missed. In fact, I found a kid in Zaven's class who couldn't see the next year when I was volunteering. So now they ALL have to have full eye exams and I figure it's cause of me. I didn't quite mean to have THAT effect. I figured they teachers could watch for kids w/ problems. But maybe it'll help more kids this way. I just worry for the families that would have trouble paying for it.

Saige had to start peeing in the cup at her 3 yr check-up, they do it for the same reasons they do when your knocked up, they check the same things but damned if I can remember what those two things are before my coffee

my daughter is 9, and is getting pubic hair too. She was at my ex's mother's house last week, and she bought her bras.... It is funny because she is so excited, and neither my ex or my husband want to hear a thing about it. She even mentions the bras and they freak out. They think she is too young for them, and I kindof agree, but as excited as she is I'm not going to take them away. I looked at her bras though... she is in a medium... the small says 6-6x. I'm really confused about that.....

That's what we are waiting for as well! Thought I had her trained to shower and wash her own hair a few weeks ago but that ones also on the list. She DOES bathe by herself she just doesn't like the "sprinkles" from the shower getting in her face to wash her hair.

Last night she DID inform me that she would do it all on her own when she is ten. TEN? *sigh* kids grow up 621432

ROFLMAO!! yes 10 is the magic number. Rayley will clean her room when she is 12.

and around here if the bathroom door is closed, I get scared. it means there are more than one kid in there and there is NO telling what they are doing.

My neice had told my brother earlier this year that she will color in the lines when she is 16, maybe 17. lol

And OMG- I am glad I do not have a daughter yet. I am scared about when my son is older and chasing the girls! He is a flirt now! I feel for you, Sharon!

I'm so happy that Caly is taking her time growing up. She's 12 and while she is developing physically, it's a slow gradual sort of thing and she still thinks most boys are kinda stupid. Wait, do we ever outgrow that?
