Re: Kindle Fire Supposedly SOLD OUT
Athena, I don't know if you've got Staples office supply stores near where you live, but they've got a sale on Kindle Fires this week for about $15 less than list price. Perhaps you can snag one there?
Just like WalMart had a big sale on the basic WiFi entry level Kindles last week, with a $30 WM GC as a rebate.
The Kindle Touch is out of stock on Amazon too.
I just figure Amazon is clearing out inventory getting ready for the big announcement next week. I just wish they'd hurry up and make the announcement! I want a Kindle Keyboard 3G, and I've been holding off until I see what new features are included in the new models. My Amazon GC balance is burning a hole in my virtual pocket!

Re: Kindle Fire Supposedly SOLD OUT
The rumor mill seems to think that the new Fire will include a camera feature.
Maybe that will make your niece prefer a new Fire to the old one, plus not need a one-trick camera.

Re: Kindle Fire Supposedly SOLD OUT
cameras are on everything these days,I don't think it's necessary on a tablet.I mean you have cameraphones, digital cameras besides they'll probably really have to up the price for something that won't be used much, but I'm still interested to see what's coming next.I always loved the idea of the kindle but when the Fire came out I instantly fell in love and ordered it.

Re: Kindle Fire Supposedly SOLD OUT
They seem to stop charging, or they freeze up and then it takes forever to unfreeze....I am seriously thinking about asking for a refund

Re: Kindle Fire Supposedly SOLD OUT
The freezing part might be that you have too much stuff downloaded. You can hit remove from device and still be able to download the stuff again without paying. It sounds like the memory is overloaded.
For the charging don't charge until the battery completely dies,do that several times. If that doesn't work then contact them and very soon before their backup stockpile is gone too
