Forest Fire/Big Winds
We have a forest fire near 30 miles down the highway from our residence. The high, strong winds are not helping. Several trees came down, one landing on a power line which cause us to have no power, no water; it was out for near 15 hours. Do you know what it is like not to have power - ah, the pure bitch in me comes out - full force.
Power has been restored, I am so thankful for that. The winds continued to howl - the forest fire is well over 1000 hectares and what really elevates my blood pressure is that it, once again, was human caused.
How is your day?

Oh no, stay safe Trax. That's really scary. How's your hubby doing? I can't imagine the stress of a nearby fire is good for either of you.

I hope they get the fire out soon! Stay safe!

That's terrible! I hope you and your husband are safe and sound and that they get it out quickly. Let us know how you're doing.
Re: Forest Fire/Big Winds
The forest fire they say is now contained. The wind is still strong but much cooler temperatures today helped. We had a few flakes flying this morning.
Hub - he is doing good (thank you for asking). He has made good progress, the doctor was pleased. He does not have to return to see the doctor for three weeks. In June he sees the specialist as a check up visit. Blood pressure is slow decreasing and his mood swings have increased considerably. Apparently, the doctor tells me, this is normal and will all be a thing of the past in a couple of months.
