Oh dear me...
I love my kids...but, but... why won't my little one sleep? He likes to crawl, to stand, to sit, to eat, to pee and poop, but he doesn't like to sleep.
My first one was not an eater, but a sleeper. This one is completely opposite. Loves to eat, just not sleep. Right now, he's standing in his crib babbling really loud ... I'm watching the monitor and staying on the net so I don't succumb to his cute antics.
Please send some sleep fairy dust to my sleep-is-overrated-baby.

Re: Oh dear me...
Aww, go and look at his cute antics. They're only small for a short time.
Easy for me to say, right?
Neither of my boys slept as far as naps, but my youngest was much worse. I used to tell him that I hoped he'd get married one day but would have to warn his betrothed that he just DOES NOT SLEEP! When he got a little older I'd tell him that he wasn't going to grow unless he slept.
I still have a little note and a heart shaped rock that he pushed under our bedroom door when he was little and I assumed he was in bed sleeping. Instead he was up drawing and creeping around the house. LOL

So sorry Jackie lol Doesn't rocking help?? When I used to babysit my niece and nephew(the two older ones)..my niece ould give me heck ,she was really cranky when she was sleepy but didn't want to fall asleep.I would really have to rock her,I mean hold her out in my arms and up and down side to side for 1/2-1 hr that must have been the cause of my back pains now lol

Re: Oh dear me...
Yes, I look back at pictures everyday... I exclusively pump since he's not a latcher...so plenty of internet time and picture time!
Lori, I tell myself that every moment... my oldest is turning 5 going on 41... hehee
It is cute, but boy...it's hard to rock a 18 pounder. hehe. It takes him forever too!

Re: Oh dear me...
Athena, my mom was like that. Give her a rocking chair and she could get any baby to sleep. She held them so tight I think they just gave up.

my grama was the same way Lori... hold em tight! mainly so they didn't fly out of her arms... that grama really pumped that rocking chair (and talked just as fast and non-stop!) but loved her dearly!
