Has Everyone left the stage?
Can't belive how quiet it's been her for 36 hours or more...
we got snow today, blowing, not too heavy maybe 2-4" depending on where it landed), and very cold. Up until about 2 hours ago, the streets were snow free, but see they are white tonight. Have I mentioned before how much I hate Winter? Lori, Althena, and all you others living in the north, I feel your pain (well if you don't like snow). Rebecca have seen your snow photos of FB so guess you got hit with that Lake Effect that hit Bufflo... isn't this it bit early for all this white stuff?
And Chelle, if you think about it, you'll not be wishing for snow. I would love to have to be running the AC LOL
So what's happening where?

Re: Has Everyone left the stage?
We've got about 12-18 inches blowing and drifting around. Really hard to tell exactly what's out there, but all the schools are closed tomorrow. If the wind EVER stops blowing they can start cleaning it up!

Re: Has Everyone left the stage?
It has been kinda dead around here for a while....
unusually warm here in San Diego...I believe the high was 88, but I was stuck instead studying and getting ready for finals week. Its suppose to cool down...tomorrow low 70s and tuesdays starts the low 60s until rain at the end of the week.
I don't think I would get along with snow...I'm not a fan of being out in the cold! visit it, but don't think I could live in it!

Re: Has Everyone left the stage?
I'm still getting snowed on (and trying to dig myself out) here. Last week the schools were closed for three days, but we probably had around two feet of snow in that time. I thought the schools were going to close again today, but they kept them open. Tomorrow might be a different story since we're supposed to get another storm overnight. Of course having the kids home makes it much harder for Santa to get his shopping done so when I'm not working I'm trying to catch up on that!
Re: Has Everyone left the stage?
really warm weather here today 54 degrees.. we had 6 in snow on the ground until last night..it's been raining since yesterday and the snow all melted...weird weather for this time of year..I have to go out later, looks like I won't need my coat!

Re: Has Everyone left the stage?
Our snow has stopped, but the wind has not. 18 below this morning. I was just out for the first time since Thursday. I called to get my car in for an oil change. Surprise, surprise, she said they had all sorts of cancellations today. It's crazy driving in town because they plow all of the snow to the middle of the streets, then eventually go back with 2 more vehicles - one picks it up and shoots it into the back of a truck that follows it, and the truck hauls it away to the fairgrounds, which don't get used in the winter except as an entrance to the snowmobile trails. The snow is all still there in the roads still, so they are narrowed accordingly. At the car dealership I felt all crowded in, too. They had all the vehicles moved up near the entrance so they could plow and then move them back where they should be. I feel like I'm still inching my way through tall, narrow tunnels.

Re: Has Everyone left the stage?
We got 9-11 inches last week but it rained and melted it all away yesterday. Flurries today, it's not sticking yet but it's suppose to start coming down hard and stay that way for the next week.
Re: Has Everyone left the stage?
Wow! I feel for you all with the snow. It's cold here, but no real snow accumulation yet , knock on wood. We just had some huge flakes coming down really slow the other day,I got a kick out of that. Our turn will come though,I'm sure

Re: Has Everyone left the stage?
Even though we didn't get above 18-20 degrees today, it was so bright and sunny... in fact, when I opened the bedroom window shade this morning, I was blinded by the brightness (guess I forgot it snowed yesterday LOL)... the sun on the white was mind alterating :-)
But because of the sun, the snow is just sort of disappearing... the little kids next door were bundled up and scooping up the snow and have snow ball fights, trying to make a snow person... they even asked me if the could "borrow" snow from our yard (they did that last year too, they are just so polite).... I told them to take it all away, and from the looks of it, they did LOL

Re: Has Everyone left the stage?
thanks Dee!
such a useless organ that really causes problems when it decides it doesn't want to behave itself anymore... it could have at least picked better timing!

6 1/2 inches since yesterday and it's still coming!!! Good thing it rained and melted the last batch we are running out of places to put it already. An extra kid and a two hour delay today. 32 minutes and counting- can't wait to see the bus, lol.
