and more bakery items. LOL

okay, so I made a few cakes this week.

First of all, a dear lady died that I've known since school. she was younger than me, had 3 kids and an adopted one. She had a pulminary embolism.

She LOVED Jeff Gordan. when I was asked to make a cake (one day before) for a benifit for her family, I was going to make the cross one I did for easer. Then I got requests for a nascar theme. Since I am the only redneck in history who could care less about nascar I was at a loss. His car is blue, with red flames. I wasnt happy with the cake, at all- BUT it was put in a silent auction, at a concert with Micheal sarver and brought in 300.00.





This was for a friend of mine. I wanted to make something to do with a camera, and had lots of ideas. But with the emergancy cake for the benifit I didnt have time. all I had already was the camera made.

aww thank you I redid the brown cake so many times, I hated it. I wanted it to have more on it. Ihad ideas and visions... and this SUCKED.. LOL

I especially love the ribbons!...now I want cake! lol

really?? cause to be perfectlyhonest, That red fondant was left over from the nascar cake- its so hard to make. when i started this morning i seriously had NO clue what I was going to do. I just had 4 cakes cooked. and had no clue what to do. LOL

I had used that red fondant as circles, put them on, hated it. took them off, put those brown strips on (that are SOO not even) and then had to do SOMETHING- I did teh ribbon, and technically, you make your bow loops (from what I've studied, these were my first) out of gumpaste (cause it dries!) and let them set up a day or three. I threw them up there and prayed.. LOL I ran out before the bow was done. the only redeeming part I liked was the sparkle, I dusted it with lusterdust mixed in vodka, so it sparkled.

the crosses I had put in a mold didnt come out, they were supposed to decorate the cake too, I didnt use enough grease. and the fiqure I had made got broken by an errant fishing pole. The camera was the only thing left. LOL

I had wanted one teir to have negatives on it. another to have her favorite sayings written around it.

But I do appriciate everyone liking it so much. It just was such a disapointment for me- she loved it. of course, she never knew what I had planned. and loved the simple design. so God was watching out for me

They are both terrific but I really like the brown one!
