Spring Cleaning.. Empty Spring Cleaning..

Post by Scarlett Sun Apr 20, 2008 1:32 pm

Have you started yet? I haven't. I'm tired of cleaning. I know I must get at it though. I need to pick up some refills for my pledge Duster to do the blinds and such. My mop died...which means if I can't remember to pick up another this week I'm going to end up doing the floors again on my hands and knees!

I hate spring cleaning.. hell who am I kidding.. I hate cleaning. I've done so much of it this past week. The playgroup I'm a member of thought it would be a great idea to pair up us ladies and help each other out w/spring cleaning... so that might ease up the agony of it all.. at least I'd have someone over 2 to chat with while I work lol.. it's absolutely impossible to do or start on a weekend when all the monkeys are home all day.

I'm avoiding it right now. We've been cleaning like crazy for the past few days. But it's not even to the point where we could clean (dust, mop, etc.) It's just less cluttered.

Most of our snow has disppeared...and what lies underneath is ugly. We've been raking the areas we can and power washing the exterior of the house while the weather is decent.

The house isn't too horrible, but I desperately need to put some grass seed down in the backyard!

I wish I knew where the cleaning fairy was... I really am not into it. Hubby has been working non-stop for the past 9 days. His next day off is Tuesday and he's planning on taking the boy to the driving range... so much for his help!

Rebecca grass barely exists in Arizona. Never seen anything like it in my life! However what little bit we did have in the backyard has now been destroy by the boy and his new found love of golfing. Add on we're getting the monkeys a pool next month... we won't have any to worry about.

I think I need something heartier than regular grass. The border collie rips it to shreds when all he's doing is running and playing.

I usually just clean up every week or so
So I don't have to do any heavy cleanings during a specific time of the year!

Carpets need cleaning and windows need washing. I am working up to it- gradually!! You can tell its not a favorite job for me. I love a clean home, but would much rather get a maid or cleaning service. With a husband on disability now, thats not likely to happen. Oh, well. you can always wish. Spring Cleaning.. 337515

I have a wood stove and a fireplace that we use a lot during the winter. We only turn on the electric heat if it's in the teens or lower. Saves loads of money, but gets dust everywhere. So we spring clean when it's finally warm enough to let the fires out for the season.

I kinda have OCD( at least Dh says I do) so I am constantly cleaning, and when I run out of things to clean here I go to my Dad's house. I can say I have the cleanest yard/pool on the block.
