I hit the Walgreens jackpot

Our Walgreens has the RR printer hanging over the counter. Anyway I went all the way there and they were out of 4 of the 5 things on my list. So I shopped around trying to get to $25 for the $5 RR. It was empty, when I got to the register the RRs were piling up on the floor. I figured it was probably junk but I patiently waited for my two to print and I bent down grabbed the whole pile and put them in my bag. I sorted the out when I got home, there were a couple good coupons and FIVE $5 RRs!!!!!!
I spent $20.26 OOP, I got $10 back in RRs PLUS the extra $25. I'm so happy, I never find anything good, lol. It's like Christmas before Christmas!

Can you only use one RR per purchase or can you use as many as you want to?

Tara, that is so freaking cool! I did pretty good at Wags today, but not like that. I only managed to spend about $55 and bring home about $50 in RR. I would have made a slight profit but the saleslady talked me into buying some lotion for Scott's eczema and I didn't even think to wait and buy it with RR's, LOL. But I was happy because I bought things I could actually use, not just things that I could get for free. I have way too much stuff around here and I'm trying to cut back on the bargain hunting until I've gone through some of our stockpile.

Lori, you have to read the fine print. Some (such as the $5 for spending $25 promotion going on now) only let you use one per transaction. But most will ring up as coupons and you can use 1 coupon per item in the transaction. So if I were going to use 6 or 7 RR coupons, I would need to have at least 6 or 7 items in my cart that I wasn't already using a coupon with. An easy way to do it if you want to buy one expensive item is to also buy several cheap items, like 4 novelty pens for $1. I could use four extra RR coupons if I did that, even if each of the RR was for $5 off. Another way around it is to buy several of the same items that you can use a Walgreen's store coupon with. Like if there's a store coupon for cold medicine, you can buy 4 bottles, give them one store coupon for $2 off and that coupon will automatically take $8 off your total ($2 for each bottle). But it only counts as using one coupon, so then you can use three of the RR coupons, too.

It's complicated, but it pays off to learn it.

I didn't check the fine print mine usually takes as many as it can (until # of coupons=# of items) But that is okay too. I'll end up using them on several smaller transactions anyway with other RR deals. It will be fun to see how far I go with $25 "free" dollars, lol.

Yep, your loss. I have spent about $500 at Was this year OOP, but my totals are around $3500. I have gotten alot of stuff free, and my out of pocket is usually $3-5 per transaction. I JUST donated 100 items to the local nursing home, shampoo, toothpaste, denture adhesive etc. It is a state run home, and alot of people just don't get stuff, and many of them are younger mentally challenged people. I figure I am paying it forward,

Ditto what Erin said. I've probably spent about the same but have more than quadruple that in merchandise. It's a nice way to be able to give. Plus when I give it, I know it's stuff that will be put to use 100%. Unlike cash, that I don't have, where 70% goes to advertising and salaries.

I miss doing my bargin shopping. and my stockpiles are starting to dwindle. I got to get back into it. Maybe with the new year I'll start me a gift card with 100.00 or so and see how far that will take me. Its been a while though... LOL

I haven't been doing nearly as much. I just put just about everything I had left in my stockpile into a few boxes to drop off tomorrow. Now I have no choice, I have to start again or I will end up having to pay for something, lol.
