My Cat Died Empty My Cat Died

This evening, she was 15, and had CHF. She started breathing heavily earlier, and I called the vet, He came out( I LOVE HIM), he made her comfortable, and gave her some meds but she was too old and tired.
DH and I found her in a storm drain when we were launching the boat one day, and brought her home, she was only a few weeks old, poor thing was skeletal skinny and stunk of fish, and I honestly did not think she would live, so I named her Zombie. I am going to miss her, she sat on my bed while I was on bedrest when PG with Bayley, and stood guard at her bassinet and hissed at "intruders" or those who dared to touch "her baby", mostly Dh...she only bit Xander once, for pulling her tail, she was a biter, not a scratcher.
Bayley is extremely upset, but we had already had the discussion about what we would do when it was her time, we knew earlier that it indeed was.


RIP ZOMBIE, you were a good kitty.

I know how it is, my doggie of 17 yrs passed a couple of months ago.It's so hard.He was such a good friend.Protected me,even though he was a little guy,he thought he was a giant.Always licked my legs when I came out of the shower.Always knew when I was sad.Slept at my feet ever since he was tiny.

I'm sorry Edbson... losing a beloved pet is a difficult as losing a close relative... I know, because I too have been there. Sad

Sometimes I wish that animals lived as long as people. It's so hard when one dies -- even when you know they were suffering. It's almost like losing a kid sometimes.
