Steam Mop USers? FLoormate users?
I am considering one of the Steam Mops, Either the Shark or the Haan. I am also considering a Hoover Floormate.. I have questions however:
Do the steam mops actually get dirt off the floor? Or do they just push it around like a mop?
It seems it would be handy for the daily Yogurt, fruit, god knows what, and whatever else is smeared on the floor cleaning.BUt I also want DEEP cleaning.
Does the Floormate actually work, or is it just a PITA? The reviews are mixed, and there are 10 different models....
I really prefer the good old Hands and Knees scrub, but I have 1800 feet of hard floor, and my knees cannot take it anymore. I have to wax every 3 ish months, and I really would like something to also help strip the wax.

Re: Steam Mop USers? FLoormate users?
I recently used a Hoover Floormate to clean my grandmother's floors that had been cleaned for quite a while...she past away in December and not sure when the floros were last mopped. For super dirty floors it took going over it a couple of times to get it clean and probably would have been better in this situation if I just got on my hands and knees to scrub it, but I didn't want to do that. Oh and that was linoleum...
I think it would work great for the general clean up. The one I used, you would first let it scrub over an area and then you switched to vaccum mode to suck the dirty water up and it sped up the drying time.
It had special cleaner that you would have to purchase for it, so I would look into those costs becauses thats a added cost.

My floors are Stained, sealed, and waxed concrete. They are not filthy, but they get their fair share of sand, dirt, food, etc daily. They also get mopped daily, and scrubbed once a week. BUT thats a lot of freakin scrubbing....LOL

I don't have wood, so Lemon, or any oil would make it greasy.
After alot of research, I think i will go with the Floormate, the big one.
