It'll be a year Sunday............
Since Ike. I have pics from a friend, and some we took ourselves.
I am compiling them in one place, for future reference.

Wow... having never experienced anything like that, I just can't imagine, can only empathsize.... but in a year's time, you have certainly made a monumental comeback... which is great. You're definitely a survivor!

The picture of the house with all the debris inside just kills me. I can't imagine how devastating it would be to come home to that, to have lost all my pictures and keepsakes and even just the simple things like clothes and sheets and beds.

The ones that bug me the most are the ones of my brother, and neighbor climbing on the roof to get the cats. They had to get here by boat.

I can only imagine how scary that was.
It has been several years since Juan tore through here.
I never want to see that type of weather again!

All the more reason to keep your photos on CD and store them off site, at a friends or better in a safe deposit box at your bank. Because if you lose everything else, you'd at lest have those photo memories!
and if you've got phots hanging on the wall that you don't have a digital copy of, well that use a tri-pod and take a pic of them with your digital.
If I lost everything in a diaster, I would be okay or content knowing I at least had those photos! Because no insurance payment can replace them.
