What my 17 y.o. did today
OK, my son comes downstairs today and I notice that his chest looks irritated. I told him the rashy area and bumps would go away if he'd switch to a mild soap instead of using those strongly scented "men's" body washes (like Gillette and Axe). He said no, those bumps are from me shaving my chest. Theat's when I notice that Wookie Jr. has indeed shaved his chest hair off. I said "It looks like it was painful." He said yes, it was, but it was "getting in his way" and he had "tufts of hair all over".

I will never understand this shaving the chest thing. Give me a man with chest hairs anyday - yep, I am old!

Seriously, unless you're an olympic swimmer, I save leave it hairy. Scott is so hairy he looks vaguely like this:

I can't understand shaving a chest either, shaving your back yes, but guys are supposed to have chest hairs.

Geez, yikers - if you shave them all away - you will be shaving forever! The hair will grow back twice as thick. All I can say is thank god women were not born with chest hairs. teeehee, we get old and have them on old chins!
Another teehee, I look at that fine avatar you folks gave me, I'll bet big money - John Prine has chest hairs on the side of 'run your fingers'....yup - you get my drift.

Re: What my 17 y.o. did today
I like chest hair... hubby is hairy. He has been informed that if he starts growing back hair I will break out the Nads. Yuck
Re: What my 17 y.o. did today
Look what that 17 year old has done! There is nothing sexier than a man with chest hairs peeking just over the second button of some Bruce Springsteen, John Prine, any hunk (fill in the ____________) shirt!

Re: What my 17 y.o. did today
LOL Well DS has a hairy back, too. I call them (ALL of t he guys in my house) Wookies; FIL used to call them Yeti's. But this will do in a pinch. I threaten Nads all the time, but I don't want to be the one that has to do it. Like trax points out, I have my own hair issues to deal with.

Re: What my 17 y.o. did today
Oh I would get great pleasure out of ripping the hair out of his back. Great great pleasure.
Yes I am mean like that. This is the same man who told me while I was pushing out his child that "oh come on it doesn't hurt that much"
Come to think of it... nads wouldn't be good enough.

Re: What my 17 y.o. did today
Sure... it's always fun when the pain is someone else's, lol. Of course it would be far more fun if they pissed me off first.

OMG as someone who delivered four kids with zero medication.. that is one SERIOUSLY ballsy man...
Re: What my 17 y.o. did today
No kidding..... I did the first without drugs... the second I got something in my IV but it wore off before the pain really set in and they wouldn't give me more.
This is graphic so be free to skip over it...
He said it again afterwards, it wasn't that bad while I was getting stitched up from the epsitomy... I sat right up and told the dr to lay him down slice him open from his nuts to asshole, sew him back up again and then let me kick him a few times. The dr was laughing so hard she left the room for 5 minutes in the middle of sewing me up. I was NOT amused, he is lucky to be alive.

I never had pain meds either, and dh knew not to say anything. I would have killed him.
I have suggested to BIL that back shaving is a good thing, he is one of those "shirtless doing yard work" guys....ick

Re: What my 17 y.o. did today
Ok, does anyone else think that there's something seriously wrong with a hair remover called "Nads"?
My son just turned 16 and he is so proud of the 5 or 6 hairs on his chest that he had to show all of us when he first noticed them lol

Re: What my 17 y.o. did today
Just when I was thinking that I was lucky to have boys -- fewer surprises than girls -- you spring this on me! I think one of my boys coming downstairs like that would surprise me more than a tattoo!
Re: What my 17 y.o. did today
LOL
I asked him today if he lathered up with shaving cream or just used the electric razor, and he said he wasn't going to tell me because I'd just make fun of him. I guess it's up to him to decide if he wants to keep doing it or not. He'll probably decide it's not worth the effort when it'll just grow back really fast anyhow. Poor little Wookie.

Yes Kelly! When they first came out with that hair removal product I saw it on a morning show, and I can tell you...it's not wise to search on that name for the product...just not wise at all.

It's gonna itch when it grows back. Trust me, there are things one just should not shave.

Re: What my 17 y.o. did today
ROFLMAO!
Got to say that is hillarious!
I reckon I am lucky. Heck, BR didnt even get a full beard till he was in his mid to late 20's. He just now has his mustache and beard thingy like he likes it. LOL
And there is just enough hair there to know its there. But I am a major hair plucker. If its where it aint supposed to be, its GONE.
LOL
