My house is a wreck, I am way behind on everything, and everyone keeps adding to the list of what needs to be done. So I'm hiding. Well, not really. I just spent a very productive hour working my coupons and getting those organized again. I'd say I'm half way thru them, LOL. So now I'm cooking spagetti and pretending that I don't have anything else to do. I will get back to work after I eat something.

Meanwhile, say a prayer that the pile of junk, papers, and laundry doesn't topple over and pin me down.

LMAO good luck Karen, death of dehydration and starvation under a stack of papers and sticky socks would suck.

I've slowly made progress this week. The kids are going to mom and Rob has to work tomorrow so I figure I will do the rest then so I can actually sit down and feel accomplished... at least until Rob gets home. On a good note, coupons are done other than another shoe box full for the military. I want to mail next week so I have to do them sooner or later but later sounds better, lol.

Sigh. I ate lunch and need to go clean something. Anything, really. It's all dirty. I really should have been born into a wealthy family. I swear I would have been nice to the servants.

LOL Karen. I actually like cleaning.... when there isn't someone running behind me undoing it all quicker than I can get it done. Mowing the lawn is my favorite of all the chores. When I am done- it's done and it looks nice for at least a couple days, that can't ruin that. However the snow has melted and it appears the moles have taken over. I thought it was just the front, but nope my ENTIRE yard is ruined with tunnels and tiny little holes everywhere Sad Sad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad I had such a nice yard and beautiful flower beds

I am with you Karen! I would be so nice to the servents! LOL

And I understand about the pile threatening to tumble.

I need to clean, have to change the chickens again, havent been able to pay bills because you cant do that with 4 kids running around, have laundry to do, need to order a new faceplate for BR's phone (his is cracked with a hole and he doesnt want to mess up the phone. ) , have to make a lineup for the baseball team, and a million other little things.

I so totally get where you're at. I have a "mental" list of things to do this spring (I'm talking indoor and out) and don't actually write my list on paper because I know if I saw it that I would seriously think about checking out.

But I just keep telling myself... if I died tomorrow, would it really matter? And the answer is no, so I try not to fret about those things.

Life is too short, and with cancer recently hitting two sibs, I know that enjoying today is more important than what I need to do tomorrow.!

So try not to fret or stress out... just do what you can today, and enjoy every moment!

Dee.. Im so sorry to hear about your siblings! It does put it all into perspective huh?

Karen, I hope you aren't buried yet! The laundry is ALWAYS threatening to fall over on me.. I did run a load today.. now I remember I need to put it in the dryer.. I also FINALLY got dh up off the couch and he has been working on the backyard nightmare all day and will be again tomorrow.. We've decided a yard sale is a good idea..

Dee, you are so right. And that is normally how I look at it. But this week is a bit much. We broke the baby gate and Quinn is having a blast dumping yogurt everywhere. Plus I've been putting off a bunch of stuff and it's getting out of control. But I did arrange for the kids to go to my MIL's this weekend so I'm going to spend one day working on the house and the other just visiting with my husband, even if it's in a room filled with unfolded laundry.

I am just sitting here wondering where to start next, I just finished making JJ's birthday cake (homemade carrot cake) and came online to find a good Cream Cheese frosting recipe and figured I would pop in for a minute. I have JJ's birthday tomorrow, along with my South Beach House Party as well. I didn't have time to clean today because I had to run to Presque Isle to pick up last minute birthday stuff and also pick up fabric for Wynonnas next quilt for quilting class.. So by the time I came home, put away groceries, made and ate dinner, then I made the cake, now I have to start cleaning and setting up for the parties...ughh I am going to make a nice strong pot of coffee in a minute...

I just got done making the frosting and frosting the cake. I haven't even started on anything else yet...I am thinking I might just go to bed and get up early to get the housework done...

So far, so good on the weekend plans. I decided today would be the day I didn't do much but hang out. I did my Walgreens shopping and mailed some coupons and cut the coupons from the All You magazines I bought... and that's it work-wise. I mostly hung out with Scott, took a nap, and I'm getting ready to get in the tub.

Tomorrow will be the cleaning day, but I'm hoping I'll feel better going into it well rested and calm. And I'm planning to take plenty of breaks. What I get done, I get done. And what I don't I'm not going to worry about.
