I am making Taco Soup in the crock pot, because I have Xander and my friends 7 month old. I cannot actually cook something today that requires brain cells

Oh I bet the kids loved doing that! Sorry about your power... I do remember days of cooking on the wood buring fireplace when we'd lose power... but those pans, no way to wash... and they would always en up black as shoe polish!

Hope you get power back tonight, if not tomorrow.... still about 5,00 w/o here. We , personally, lucked out.

I fried hamburgers, I fried potatoes. I made salads. Tomorrow? Well a lot of time will be spent cleaning the stove top, burners and counters around it. Oh and the floor too! Hate frying anything, mostly burgers... but wanted to do something Chuck would like and since I seldom cook, felt it was the nice thing to do. Never mind I have doublt work duty! ps... they were awfully good!

I did say as I was cleaning up... "I could have grileld these outside" (no mind it was 26 and the deck is ice/snow covered)...

BR got chicken and rice, and the kids each got to pick what they wanted. Corndogs for 2, tuna fish for 1. and then he ate some chicken and rice and purple hull peas.. LOL

And he fed Bow some chicken and rice, and they fed Bow some corn dog, and Bow got some purple hull peas.
