Both of my kids were late getting their teeth so it's been no surprise that they've been late losing them too. Today Devon was eating a banana and complained that his tooth hurt when he bit in. Sure enough when he showed me I could see the adult teeth coming in behind the first two teeth he got as a baby. When I checked one it was loose. I said, "Oh Dev, you have a loose tooth!" thinking he would be excited, but instead he had a huge meltdown -- ALL morning long! He was so upset that I didn't even tell him that I suspect there are actually two that are loose!

Mine came in behind too and then I ended up with braces and retainers for years!

When JJ was little, I couldn't even mention that I thought a tooth was even slightly loose because he would pull it out that day! He couldn't wait to get the tooth fairy money!!

OUCH!! I feel for him.....my 7 year old just had surgery on the 8th to remove 4 teeth that the adults were right behind and had to crown 7 of the others as he is a bad grinder, which is common in autistic kids
