Re: Don't forget to vote US
Yep, I am just waiting on BR to get up. well him and Bow. Both are still asleep, so I am enjoying the quiet!
I havent even put on my make up or anything. In a way I dread going, I will be there forever just chatting with everyone. But I dont get to see all thse folks except at funerals most times so they will want to see the kids. But I am hopeing to get it done before they get off the bus at 5. Thats just too late to go. I will have the mini monsters thou.
I just regret that I wont see any cops. I want to ask them who they want to work for. So many people voted in the Republican primaries that our sherrif got beat out by a mo-ron.. (they run Democrat in locals, you had to decide to vote for Rep or Dem ) so we have 2 people who normally wouldnt be voted in as Dog catcher running for sherrif.. And I am truely on the fence.

I will be taking Timmy on a school field trip. And then this afternoon, my neighbors are going to take me with them. Timmy will be with. Later, I can tell him that he was with in this historical election. I am so excited! This will be the 3rd time I got to vote!
Re: Don't forget to vote US

Re: Don't forget to vote US
Waiting until after school to vote. My friend and I are going to pick her daughter up from school, then go vote. It will be her daughter's first time voting, as she just turned 18 on the 18th of Oct. We are so excited for her!
After seeing the long voting lines around the country, it makes me glad I will be voting in an old one room school house in the country. There is usually no line at all!

That's a great idea, Chelle. I actually got an earful of locker room gossip that hubby got from some our local cops regarding the two candidates who are running for prosecuting attorney. Was I ever glad I heard that before I voted!

We went as soon as Saige got on the bus, out in under ten minutes. It looked like an AARP meeting, we saw none else under 70, lol.
Re: Don't forget to vote US
thats funny tara, it reminds me when Wynonna was in Maine Medical Center this summer and they kept making us switch rooms and once we ended up on the 3rd floor and I went to the kitchenette to get a coffee and knew the minute I opened the fridge that we had to be on the geriatric floor because the fridge was full of custard and prune juice. I asked the nurse and whatdya know it WAS the geriatric floor lol.

Re: Don't forget to vote US
I voted earlier, and made DD vote too...she was registered, yet undecided. I basically told her to go vote or walk home....and I told her who she needed to vote for.

Re: Don't forget to vote US
Glad everyone is utilizing their right to vote. It is important, in any election. Take it while you have it.
One question - why would you tell someone who to vote for? Does not one read and formulate their own opinion on who to vote for? In the same regard, do you tell them what to eat, when to eat?

We don't tell anyone who to vote for, but it's human nature to be argumentative and voice your opinion.

Re: Don't forget to vote US
I wouldn't mind telling people who to vote for. But most of my friends and family have learned to ignore me.
Re: Don't forget to vote US
Oh I do..... unbelievably hubby has ZERO interest ( as much as I find this mindblowing, I am sure it has its advantages for our marriage, lol), I mean not even a little bit. So I make him a cheat sheet. This year was easy peasy. President and DA, that was it. I didn't even have to write it down, lol.
Oh and yup I do tell him what to wear and what to eat at times as well.

Re: Don't forget to vote US
I don't tell anyone to vote for. I may offer what I know. I will also not put down someone for going a different way. Everyone was raised differently and all have different views, and I respect that.
I do ask people to keep an open mind. And to find out their facts before making a rash or an important decision.

Re: Don't forget to vote US
OH me too Chelle, I have DH's clothes laid out when we go somewhere, and that is what he wears....has to be presentable. I also decide what we are eating, since i do all the cooking, so yeah, I tell them what to eat. I run a tight ship here, and I do tell my kids what to eat, wear, and when to do it.
