What's making me happy today.

What's making me happy today is that even though I have to take Wynonna to get bloodwork done it's only for monitoring purposes, not because she is not feeling well. She's been feeling ok, without any problems or major discomforts.
Though if there are any other parents of teens or parents who have raised teens, I would sure love to start a thread about what's not making me happy about raising/getting along with your teens, I need someone to commiserate with..

You need to talk to Erin.. Mine are tween. and they are freakin killin me.. I swear. they are bad enough, when they hit preteen and then teen I might turn myself into CPS..



today I am happy because, Once a week I buy BR a weekly grand lottery ticket. ($2.00) , he calls it his retirement fund. well, a few weeks ago he won 4.00. So I put that towards him a 2.00 weekly grand, and got me a 2.00 silver bells.

The bad news is HE scratched them. the good news is, I won 100.00 on mine!! but he knows about it, so he has already spent it...

Oh well, easy come easy go. It was a good feeling to have won money

OH and I also got my coupons organized last night. AND bought a flat rate envie for Karens coupons. I will try to get those out quickly

Thats another thing I am thankful for, karen still talks to me even though I havent sent out coupons well lately..

I am happy today because:

Xander is 8 weeks now and weighs a whopping 14 lbs 13 oz...

The rental place gave the right car this morning, they made a mistake with the one I got yesterday, I now have a Chevy Colorado, my car will be ready on Monday though

Tomorrow is halloween so I get to eat tons of candy...LOL

It doesn't seem 8 weeks ago, Erin! I would have guessed 4 weeks old, 5 max. He already looks like a little man, though.

He's a big boy Erin! Time flies.... (speaking of which Valerie how is your grandbaby?) Saige went trick or treating at the mall with my mom earlier, I am eating candy now, lol.

What's making me happy today is the Ninja turtle I made out of ribbon! lol. It doesn't take much to make me happy but this is so totally rad I can't wait to give it to my niece!

I'm happy that I finished all the costumes and they all look great. Quinn's is SO cute. I'll post pics soon.

I found the other boot cover for one of my idiots uhhh kids costumes!! its been missing for 3 weeks!! BR was swearing that I didnt make it home wiht it!!

I made the boys help me clean the house to find it. half way through I found it in my room under the bed where Bow must have drug it.

But I didnt say a word. SOOOOO, I had help cleaning the kitchen and living room.

What's making me happy today:

1. Much to the horror of my children - the rain is making me so happy. I'm curled up here with a cup of coffee and the sound of rain outside. It just doesn't get better than this.

2. I have all halloween costumes ready for this evening AND the candy bought as well...whew I'm so ahead of the game this year...lol.

It's usually the little things that can make a day great sometimes!

I love the rain too, kashicat. Just love it!

I'm happy that I dug out the Halloween decorations just in case. We haven't had any Trick or Treaters in the past few years, but I am prepared for up to 4 of them.

And we got the light in the laundry room replaced so I'll be able to see in there. The other night I smelled an electrical smell and followed it to that fixture. One of the bulbs was sparking or burning and burnt the casing of the fixture so the whole thing got thrown out and the power to the laundry room has been shut off. I didn't want to take any chances.
