MyPoints Double Days
Some of us shop through MyPoints to earn extra points and some of us don't. Those who do may be aware that when you click on the Shop tab you can see a list of websites from which you can earn points or points-per-dollar when you order through the MyPoints link. You will also see a link on the right hand side of the page under What's Up @ MyPoints that says "Double Days". Every few days the featured store changes, and you can earn double points for purchases. It can pay off to check there before ordering.
Right now, the featured Double Day partner is Magazines.com. You will earn 500 MyPoints per magazine ordered, instead of the standard 250. I'm not working for them or anything, but they always have a selection of magazines under $10. This past summer I paid $5.97 for 16 weeks (16 issues) of Entertainment Weekly.

Re: MyPoints Double Days
Cool! Those would make nice Christmas presents and they would just be starting to arrive in January since magazines take so long. Three $6 subscriptions would be $18, but you could get $10 of it back as a gift card for the 1500 points you'd earn. So 3 subscriptions for $6... very good deal.
Re: MyPoints Double Days
I just went to check it out and it says that if you use the code "mypoints5off" at checkout, they'll take $5 off your order. That makes it $1 for 3 subscriptions!
Re: MyPoints Double Days
OK, the code is only for certain magazines, so you're probably not going to get that sweet of a deal. But, even so... nice deal.
Re: MyPoints Double Days
Yeah, I saw the $5 off code but didn't want to post that detail and get everyone's hopes up. The magazines that had $5 off didn't seem like that great of a deal to me, but it could surprise and delight someone, I guess, depending on what they're after.
Also, keep in mind that you never know how long the Double Days partner will be featured, so you can't really browse with the plan of coming back in a few days to make the purchase, because it may have switched by then.
