Can I get a prayer please?

Something... good vibes or something this way, please...

Tim just called me from work. The car had been giving us problems as of late, and just started to smoke. He went to work today, went into work, and next thing he knew, someone came in to tell him the car was on fire.

Great. Just great. I no longer have a car. No means right now for a new one. No way to get Timmy to school. And in the morning, my cell prepaid minutes will be gone.

*SCREAMS*

Just a little bit of good vibes my way please? Something to help me through the stress that I know is about to happen.

Talked to my neighbor this morning, before he took off for work.

There might be a rainbow. His boss has a car that he was looking to get rid of. He will talk to his boss about dropping the price. Then it is just a matter of trying to get the cash, which we may have to go to family for help. And hopefully they can and will. *fingers crossed*

We were in the market, but not until this spring. after Tim got some of his bonus checks and his tax check back. But now, ugh... I just need to step back and breathe. I went to bed early (midnite-that is early for me) last night, I was just so upset and sick feeling.

I have been stressed, we have had so many issues lately. They were starting to turn around, and then BAM! this. One new thing to stress about...

If we had family up here, things would be different. My family would drive us around until we could get a new one.

I've been where you are and aren't very far from there right now. I hope that you are able to find a car quickly and rides in the meantime!

At least he wasn't in the car when it caught fire! Hope you get a nice cheque from the insurance company so you can get a car that will last a while!

Oh Missy, that sucks! Timmy doesn't get a bus ride to school? I hope you find something quickly, I know there is nothing worse than being trapped without a vehicle and a little one that needs to be somewhere.

Missy-Do you have insurance? Check to see if fire is covered. A long time ago, I had my car catch on fire and I just replaced the engine (I was not happy!). I came to find out later that my insurance would have covered it!

No, insurance will not be covering it. We did not have the coverage for that. So that strikes that box for us.

Neighbor stopped home on his lunch break earlier... his boss will not budge on the price. I am hoping that we can find something then.

Luckily, Tim has rides to and from work, and my Mom added minutes to my phone for me, so that we can make what calls we need to.

The school is too close for him to get a bus ride, but I have talked to a Mom and I might be able to get her to pick him and up and take him to school. I have to call her later tonite and discuss the details. Cause I would have to go with to sign him in and out of school.

We do have a company that will go out tommorrow and get the car. I am waiting on my title (my Mom had it for safekeeping, and has mailed it to me this AM) so that they will give us cash. The whole engine is gone. It started to get into the car I guess.

Yes, lucky Tim, and no one else was nearby to end up getting hurt. And no other cars were around. I thank the Lord that Timmy was not in the car! Tim and I could just imagine how much worse we would have felt. His carseat smells like smoke, so it will just be a quick wash down and should be okay. Plenty of Febreze..lol

One of Tim's co-workers took some pics, and should be emailing them, so once I get those, if I do, I will post them. Tim wasn't sure if he would actually email them.

I am doing my best not to get upset in front of Timmy. He saw me crying last night and early this morning and got upset. I can not let him get stressed. He is a sweet boy and loves his parents more than anything. When he sees us upset, he feels it more than we do. So we have been trying to keep the spirit up. Made him chocolate chip pancakes and let him choose the cartoon this morning, and play his V-tech in our room.

So, over the next few days, we have to figure something out. Just very frustrating. Thank you all for the prayers.

Calm yourself. You feel stress now but it is a stressful situation you are going through. Tomorrow and the next day will bring new ideas, new strength for all ~ and you will be a big part of it.

I do not rightly have the prayer thing; so I'll just send some good old northern auroras and hope they reach you.

Missy, Trax is right, you'll think of new ideas and I'm sure your family and Tim's co-workers have not forgotten you and are thinking of even more ideas to help you out. I'm sure the school will be lenient as far as Timmy getting a ride with the other parent. A note to allow him to travel with her temporarily until you find transportation ought to work after the first day. They don't want a child to miss school any more than you want him to.

Missy I am so sorry!! and I know how it feels. The only thing that ever keeps me going in a time like this is to remember that God doesnt give us more than he thinks we can handle. I am not an overly religious person, but this has made me feel good. and not like its hopeless.

But you are in my prayers and I am keepin my fingers crossed for you

Thank you all. I feel better today, even though not much else is going on.

My Mom sent a message out to the whole family about what happened, so even if they can not help financially, they can help with advice and just being there.

I am not too comfortable with sending Timmy alone to go to school. Maybe it's paranoia, but with all that has been going on with kids lately, I would feel more comfortable going with the Mom. I keep thinking of the Casey Anthony case, and imagine that if she has been telling the truth the whole time... I do not want to be in that situation. Tim and his one co-worker agreed with me this morning.

He is off with the tow company now, towing it.

I never got to say goodbye to the car... and that was the first car that I paid for. My first one was given to me. So, it's a little upsetting to me.

Well, gonna go straighten up and wait for Tim to get home and make something to eat. Then sit down and analyze what we are gonna do from here. I just thank goodness for wonderful neighbors, family, friends and co-workers. Thank you all for keeping me in your thoughts, prayers and sending the northern auroras. It is reassuring and helps me get by to know that someone is hoping for better luck for me.
