Husband broke his elbow Saturday :(
Hi everyone, my dh dislocated and broke his elbow yesterday. Poor guy. Does anyone know anything about this. We have to see a ortho doctor tomorrow, looks like he will need surgery on Tuesday or Wednesday. I feel so bad for him, and the kids just don’t understand. I may not be around the next week during all this, but I will try to pop in as I get time from taking care of him.
Any prayers would be appreciated. Glad we have our faith, it has been a tough week with all of us sick and now this.

I hope he's feeling well soon. Hope you all are!
Oh, and I hope he was doing something manly when he had his accident so he has some future bragging rights.

Re: Husband broke his elbow Saturday :(
Thanks so much everyone, would you believe he fell in our back yard gathering golf balls???? He is crazy and we have a steep wooded backyard and he likes to hit balls back there and then go get them every so often and do it again.
He is just a nut, men and golf right???
He is worried sick about his game, lol.
He is on good drugs though, and this is a man who does not even take advil or have more than 1 beer at a time, so he is a scream.
He did get a sponge bath out of it from me, doctors orders, lol... he was so out of it him and the doctor had a great time writing the orders for that for me.

Hi all, so glad I did not miss and invite while I had dh at the doctor. It is broken but no surgery for now. He has a chipped bone and they will give it a week and take another look at it. I am relieved

Re: Husband broke his elbow Saturday :(
Ouch! I just saw this, I was lmao at you though. My hubby is the same with drugs and they gave him some good ones when he hurt his back. As bad as I felt that he was injured I sure did get my laughs with him all doped up.
What do they do for a chipped bone? Is he in a cast? Can he move his arm?
Oh and I tell everyone I broke my wrist snowboarding but the truth of it is I broke it getting off the damn ski lift

Re: Husband broke his elbow Saturday :(
lol, the ski lift.
He is in a removable cast which is great, he can still shower and put it back on.
I must say it is tough having him home full time, now I have 4 four year olds.
I am not use to doing everything and I am so spoiled by a dh who is really good with the kids that when he can't it is rough. And it is his right arm and he is right handed.
It is going to be one long week, I will miss my computer time and peace, lol
He really wants to go back to work next week.

Re: Husband broke his elbow Saturday :(
So sorry to hear he was hurt! I'm just getting caught up, but tell him to spend the time off work coming up with a good cover story. I'm thinking he was hit by a train, or attacked by a puma. Maybe hit by a train while fighting off a puma attack. That would explain why he didn't just get off the tracks.
