My 4th of July video
A little video I put together of some of the pictures of the parade and fireworks. I still have to upload the pictures of the fireworks from my phone, so the end is not complete, but this is mostly of the parade and my guys' enjoying themselves as we waited.
We got really good seats for the parade. =)

Re: My 4th of July video
Great video Missy! I have started so many and gotten frustrated and never finished, lol. Your little guy is absolutely adorable!
Re: My 4th of July video
Thank you so much!
I wish I could have uploaded my own music with it, I had a song I wanted to use. BUT I felt that the Mandy Moore song really brought out the feeling of that day.
It was so much fun. He loved the fireworks. I had him watch the video prior to posting it, and he said that he wants more fireworks..lol
It was fun. There were too many politicians in the parade, but I felt with it being election year, that was bound to happen.
The older gentleman (I am gonna add text later-made the video at like 2 am) near the end is the MC of the parade. He had been doing it for 45 years. They call him MR. 4th oF JULY..lol
He was funny though. He hit on all the wives and chatted with people in the crowd.
When the parade marchers were going kinda slow, he started to heckle them, "C'mon guys! I can move faster than you and your 50 years younger." Or "Hey, c'mon people! Everyone wants to watch the fireworks tonite." He had the crowd in stitches and pumped.
I guess my town was voted by Chicago's newspaper, The Chicago Tribune (one of the main papers), as the third best parade and fireworks show in the state. Not too sure who is number 1 or 2, but I am sure it is parts of the city. :-)
Timmy, my son, had a blast though. He got free bracelets from the State Rep, a flag, sno-cones and he ate almost a whole funnel cake on his own. lol We figured that this is only once a year, plus, he would work off the energy while we waited, so we let him eat sugar. We got downtown at around 4:30pm, and the parade did not start until 7 pm, so we had plenty of time to have fun, get to know some people around us (me bzz the Teddy Grahams.) and just plain had fun.
This is the first year that it was just the 3 of us. No friends and no other family, so it was extra special for us.

Looks like you had a blast! I'm glad you were feeling well enough to go this year -- it's so nice when the kids are old enough to "get" these holidays, but young enough to be so excited about them.
