I hadn't thought of that, but I hope not. To me the benefit of taking money out of their pockets after they took 40% of my points value away would be worth it though.

Not if you haven't transferred your points yet, as you are allowed to have a preexisting account.

Why would it affect? When you ask bzzagent to transfer your points you only use your email address that you have on mypoints. It's an existing account.
