Re: Golden Key Question..to buy or not to buy?
I've had a golden key for a little while now. I've never had an invite to a campaign for it though so I'm no help!
Re: Golden Key Question..to buy or not to buy?
Christine, in a minute I'm going to move this over to chit chat so our Bee Log guests can be in on the discussion. We can move it back over to BzzChat later in the week.
A golden key SHOULD be worth 200 points. But it isn't always. Here's how they work.
Instead of opening ANY campaign with open spaces, a golden key opens only golden key invitations. You can only use it on particular campaign invitations that the hive sends to you. In addition, sometimes if you turn down that invitation, you will be re-invited with a regular invitation. Often, the golden keys will work on campaigns that they were having trouble filling. (Which usually means campaigns no one wanted.)
But, they are good for two things. First, big ticket item such as the Logitech remote. Because those campaigns fill fast, a golden key is quite valuable. Second, when you get no invitations for a long time, a golden key can get you active again. But if we're having to PAY to get it, I'd only use it on a big ticket item. I would hate to buy one only to use it to get a cheap product that I could buy on my own for a few dollars. And since it's impossible to know what a campaign offers in the BzzKit, you run the risk of using it to get into a campaign that seems promising (Disneyland resorts!) but isn't (the Disneyland campaign got a DVD about the resorts as their BzzKit!)

I think I'll probably skip buying one. I'd love to be able to see what the rewards are before I decide if I want a key or not.

Oops, he just posted that we will be able to see rewards before we buy the key.
Re: Golden Key Question..to buy or not to buy?
oh, I see Honey did ask that one and he answered it yes. I must have missed it and overlooked it. That's good to know! Thanks, Rochelle!

Re: Golden Key Question..to buy or not to buy?
I was debating on buying one, but I already have one. I haven't had a regular campaign invite let alone a golden key one.

aurora04 I feel your pain.
I don't really care about the rewards I just want more campaigns.

I wonder if they are going to do anymore campaigns until this thing gets over with.....to give them a chance to catch up on everything else....

I wonder if we buy one will it have a no expiration and will we be able to use the ones that expires first. I currently have two and I have used a Golden key recently on the Claritin campaign.

Re: Golden Key Question..to buy or not to buy?
By my math, yes it was.thebigscott wrote:By the old system, 200 points was $20, right?
The more I think about it, the more I think I'd rather earn Golden Keys. The Key I already has hasn't even gotten me an invite so I think I'll just hold on to that one and use it only if I have to later on.
Re: Golden Key Question..to buy or not to buy?
Although Bzz keeps saying that people with as little as 40 points can redeem for some nice things. So I am hope that my points will get me something nice. In the past I have gotten a few nice prizes from Bzz. Here's hoping that trend is still the case.

100 points = 10 bucks to charity, that sounds right to me. I'd happy trade my points for a check

I'd go for that!!! LOL! Although, I highly doubt that they would hand out checks.

Re: Golden Key Question..to buy or not to buy?
Me either, but it would be nice wouldn't it? I'd also happily trade my points in for some more Aveeno but I would settle for just getting my bzzkit.
Re: Golden Key Question..to buy or not to buy?
So I will have, If my report get graded, over 6000 pts. So if the math holds up 100pts=$10 that's $600

Re: Golden Key Question..to buy or not to buy?
Assuming that point value in the new system is the same as it is in the old one. Hopefully it is -- you've obviously put a lot of work into bzzing and the company should respect that IMO.Ender5803 wrote:So I will have, If my report get graded, over 6000 pts.
