I'm sick of all the heavy crap on the B Log right now. Tell me what's new in your world this week.

Dh has this week off. Yesterday we went out and did some shopping. I picked up a couple of sheets of stained glass and a kaleidoscope kit. I've never made a kaeidoscope before so I spent a big chunk of last night mulling over how to make the cuts in the glass as accurate as possible.
Tonight is Odin's (my dog) first grade two obedience class. He's pretty well behaved, but I find the classes and homework are helpful for keeping him out of trouble. He's a border collie and needs to be constantly challenged mentally or else he gets himself into trouble!

Rebecca you are so talented!!

I've been up since 3am. My hubby had to leave at 4am to catch a flight into chicago .. he has business meetings until Thursday...and he won't be home until 11pm. I must say this is the first time he left and I never cried... too dang tired!

So it's the kids and I.. well for the most part Miss Kira and I. So, tonight after dinner I'm going to vacuum out our van.. while the kids play in the front and when I'm finished that we're gonna work on weeding the backyard. Tomorrow Kira and I will go for a walk before it gets too hot.. then when the kids get home we'll head to the park for a bit..then home for more weeding. I don't plan on doing much housework wise until Thurs.. then I have to clean bathrooms and vaccuum and dust ewwww.

Other then that there's not much happening in my world.

Right now, being bored to death by our president. He just had a public speech on the prices of gas and food. Of course he is blaming it all on Congress at this point. I noticed how he danced around the issue and did not say a thing about the price of the US dollar and how it has fallen.

Gotta run, but just wanted to say that I sort of enjoyed the smack-down of the blond reporter by Bush. I hate when reporters get so darn pushy.

I should post some pics of him, he's a cool dog! They're a lot of work though mostly because they're smarter than most people! The last dog I had was a border collie/blue healer/shepherd who had been abused. She turned out to be a great dog, but it took a long time to get a handle on her. She had a lot of the personality traits of a herding dog (smart, over protective, dominant), but was 90 lbs! She wasn't a pretty dog, but we loved her to bits.

I bet she was a handful rebecca! Blue healers are very smart. But as puppies (the first 3 years) very hyper! Darla, the mo-ron dog is about 2. Duke is older, but now is getting really cranky. Sad I hate it. I have had him longer than I had kids!

Brandi, do you use roboform? its a great tool. I couldnt live with out it!! Smile You can find it on my website.

Dang it lori. Now I wished I could watch youtube. I hate that I missed it. LOL

getting ready to finish (OK, start) on my mother's day gifts. I finally figured out how to make fabric appliques, so I'm doing monograms/flowers on aprons! Wahoo! So, I need to buckle down and get 5 aprons done w/ the zig zag stitch around those.

One of my dogs is a lab/chow/blue heeler mix. Her name is Angel and she weighs 91lbs!
Not much going on around here today. I have 3 reports I am trying to get myself to enter, but I am tired of reports. I need to bzz and report it 5 more times (after I enter these 3) and then I can get back to tier 4, when they get them reviewed that is.
Other than that, just the usual cleaning, laundry and cooking.

My dog is a better speaker than Bush. I'm glad I missed it, lol, at least I hope. I'm sure something I recorded will be that instead. I prefer to read the transcripts later they take out the 12000 um um um ums and I don't have to look at his ugly ass with his mouth hanging open.

Eh, gonna make some lunch for my son and I soon. Then take a quick step outside to see how chilly it is. If it's not too bad, then probably take Timmy (son) out in the yard to play some baseball with him. He was bugging me before bed last night to play, so gotta get it out of his system! Then, wait for the neighbors to get home, wake my SO (he's a 3rd shift worker) and go visit with the neighbors for a bit. Come home, make tacos and get ready for the end of the evening! That's pretty much what I have planned..lol

My dog is a blue heeler/ border collie mix.

And my favorite thing about Bush? Years ago someone did an interview with Laura Bush and asked what books they read to their children when they were little and where and when they would read to them. She said, I used to go and sit on their beds and read Little House on the Prarie to them, while George would sit in the living room and read Dr. Seuss.

Is that how he got into his habit of making up his own words? "Nucular" is my favorite.

Does everyone remember this Bush / Kerry cartoon from JibJab?

I just like the mental image of her reading to the twins while he read Dr. Seuss to himself. That's not what she meant, but it kinda sounds like that.

Yes, and I imagine that he moves his lips as he reads to himself.

I always picture him reading it out loud to himself. Only not getting all the words right.

What's so funny is that I'm a Republican, but I can't help but get this mental image.

I'm not sure it's a job anyone can really do well at, though. It's too much, too big, constantly under attack, etc. Like the BeeLog, but instead it's the whole country that's itchin' for a fight. My favorite president was Teddy Roosevelt. But I'm not sure I'd want to have him over for lunch, either.

Catching up here! Haven't gotten to log in and check it out for awhile..

Presidents speech.. I had to crack up when he was talking about FISA and said something about the problems and congress being a "Lack of Leadership or they just don't understand".

Hmmm I know which one I think is the problem.

Tara I agree.. in fact the ONLY reason I was watching was to see him screw up something.. It was within 3 mins of my watching that he made the "lack of leadership" comment. I had to actual rewind to make sure I had heard him right. lol

I only saw the tail end.... what was recorded over the view, and the lack of leadership comment was there, I was falling out of the chair laughing, lol. My husband thinks I'm nuts that I dislike him so much yet I am sure to watch or read almost everything said, almost like the bee log- pure entertainment. At least my opinion is an informed one. The only good thing I can say in reference to him is only 8 more months.... only 8 more months...
