We do the swim team and I try to paint some on or in the house (with four kids, I paint almost every year LOL), and we also have a fire pit in the yard and do bonfires and roast marshmallows and hot dogs.

How about you?

We do a lot of gardening, both flower and vegetables. We keep the neighborhood supplied with fresh produce in the summer. We like to camp and hike also. Hubby likes to take long rides to places we have never been and I go along(unwillingly).I like to fish when the weather is nice.

I've been playing a lot of sports with the kids lately -- soccer, football, and baseball mostly. The kids have had a great time out at my mom and dad's helping my dad clean up the fallen branches in the ravine with the tractor. I'm hoping to get out in the yard and get some cleaning up done this week too.

We do swim team here too. I garden and play taxi to the kids...that's about it. I HATE the humidity down here so I stay inside with the a/c as much as possible!! When I lived in Idaho we were outside a lot more...camping, hiking, fishing, boating, hunting...you name it! But I don't like it as much here in the Ozarks!

Dd does softball until early June, unless she is on the All Stars team, then it will be late august. We fish alot, camp alot, and I garden. DD swims with friends alot, I usually have half the neighborhood in my backyard.
Since we are getting a grandchild, the first in August I am also doing alot of shopping, and as soon as we actually find out the sex, I will be doing MORE shopping, just need to know if it is pink or blue.

Congrats Edbson on your grandchild.

This summer will be spent chasing the baby and most likely prying dead bugs and various other objects out of his mouth. In between I will try to maintain my garden and my all time favorite warm weather activity? mowing the lawn, I love to mow the lawn.

I like to mow the lawn too, dh thinks I am nuts. I figure it cuts down on DH running over my plants, claims he couldn't see that 6 ft tall rosebush!

Exactly.... case and point last year I got the 10 free arbor day foundation trees, I very carefully and thoughtfully planted them in my garden where I figured they would be safe from everything until they were large enough to not get trampled. After I had the baby (I wasn't up to mowing the lawn for a few days, lol) I let Rob do it ONCE. In that one time he managed to mow THROUGH my garden (very obviously my garden- it's been in the same spot for years) and killed 6 out of those 10 trees. That was it... If I am ever unable to mow again I will hire someone to do it.

I should add hiking to my list. The kids, dog, and I were out in the woods all morning today. We all had a great time!

You know, it's weird -- I'm a pisces, I live near the beaches along Lake Erie, I've only had one near drowning experience when I was around 10, but I just don't like the water. I'm not scared of it and I can swim, but I just don't enjoy it.

Oh I love water! I feel so light and relaxed in it. I could have been a mermaid. Except for the clam shell bra.

Even if I had the money, I doubt I'd ever put in a pool. My sister had one and there was so much work involved.

Actually, it is about 5 minutes a day or so after start up. I am fighting with it right now due to my own neglect, I didn't recover it when the cover blew off. I don't use common pool chemicals, only Bleach, Borax, and baking soda, and generally have no problems at all.
My sister uses regular chemicals, and I spent less than 1/4 of what she does yearly.

Ah, that makes sense. I think my sister also neglected it some times then had a mess to deal with.

My pool takes very little work. We have a chlorine generator, so we put salt into the pool when we open it and it turns it into chlorine. The water stayed cyrstal clear the whole summer and we never did anything. The only thing I had to do was vacuum the bottom but that doesn't take very long. We are planning on opening it this weekend. Here is a picture from last summer.
