Hi all! Long time no type

I hope everyone is doing well and having a terrific summer. I haven't forgotten about anyone here. We have been having an incredibly busy summer. We went to CA for my sons wedding and had a fantastic time. Katie has been to the Jonas Bros concert and the rodeo. We've been fishing and camping (I got an awful sunburn). My eldest just closed on her first house yesterday and everyone is busy moving her today. (I got to hang out here and do NOTHING all day)! In fact I am so bored right now, Im listening to Living with Michael Jackson on TV and in another window Im hanging out on Chelles farm hoping she will show up and hire me to harvest (farmtown).

This next month we will be having dh's family reunion, my stepdaughter is coming to visit and then start planning back to school stuff. Oh and I got Katie signed up for a free flight through the Young Eagles program... whew! Plus, the fair will be at the end of Aug as well.. OMG.. too much to think about!

Hi Connie! I've missed you! Glad to hear that nothing was wrong. I've also been crazy busy, but things seem to be settling down. So... are you enjoying being a grandma?

Not really. Sad to say. DD is still being a pain. Only calls if she needs a babysitter or to borrow money. On top of that she moved about 30 mins away. I don't think we've seen the baby in about a month.

Good to see you! Glad you're having a good summer. Too bad about not seeing the grandbaby too often, but it sounds like the other kids are keeping you hopping anyway!

O course it took me till today to catch up with you. Sometimes I just hate farmtown! LOL

That's okay Chelle... although there were a couple of times I thought.. "WTH.. am I now in Chelles axis of evil black list?".. haha..

Yes it does suck that my dd has STILL not grown up.. I really hoped her having a baby would make a difference and it has in a VERY small way. In the bigger scheme of things though, it is still all about her.. To the point I have called DCS and given them my and her elder sisters phone numbers "just in case".

To clarify, we did find out they have been to her place two more times before she moved. The first time she wasn't there and they took pics of her (and the babies) room, the second time she was there but copped an attitude and refused to talk to them.. No DCS did NOT tell us all this. Her former roomies did.

Since we know they have been "watching" we wanted to make sure if there were any future problems, they have our numbers so the baby doesn't fall through the cracks.

OH NO!! thats awful connie!! I am glad you called them. I know you are just heartbroken!

That's so sad! I'm so sorry that she hasn't stepped up the the responsibilities of parenting. It must tear you apart.

It does. At the same time I know I have to realize she is an adult and I have NO control. All I can is my best to make sure the baby is okay. It is still scary and frustrating at the same time though.

I WANT to know that the baby is okay but there is not much more I can do. That is the frustrating part. At least when she was just down the road and depended on me for babysitting, I could see what was going on and try to make a difference.
