Oh my goodness....

So originally we were supposed to be in our house on Apr 15, that has come and gone, and now we had a new dat of May 1. Not likely now, the builder came yesterday and noticed things that we never did, and has decided to fix them. SO they are now re-drywalling all the ceilings, redoing the kitchen countertops( I never noticed a bubble). NOW we have to wait till Monday to have it repainted, and start all over. .....maybe july

The joys of building a house! I hope they get it done soon -- that trailer must be starting to feel really small these days!

Yeah, it does...but it could be worse. I do now see why some people end up getting divorced when they build...

I am so sorry I know you are so ready to be in.

Its times like this I am so glad I decided trailer trash is the way to go. Although it took us 2 weeks to get into it. there is nothing worse than seeing your home sitting there, and not being able to get in it...

I just hope you can get into it before the next hurricane!

Oh man that sucks Erin. We went through the same waiting when we bought this POS, we were suppose to be in in May and it was Aug before it finally happened. BUT at least we were far enough away we didn't have to see it sitting there.

Hurricane season starts May 30.....

It does suck to see it sitting there, it is literally 40 feet away...but I can also keep an eye on the workers.

The really good thing about this is that the builder is detail-oriented and has opted to fix problems that you haven't even noticed. That's a really good sign. Your new house will be that much more perfect when you finally do get to move in.

I feel so bad for you guys. And the hotter weather coming isn't going to do much to help everyone's moods. But, there's always a chance that the workers will be hot, too. Nothing better than a little eye candy to improve the mood. And Lori is right. Having the work done well will be much better in the long run.

The only eye candy is the plumber, he was here yesterday, and will be back next week....the rest....not so much

ACK!! that reminds me. I have GOT to get my generators fixed. BOTH of them have issues....

and start saving money to buy a few hundred gallons of gas. Thats the part I hate the worst. the gas KILLS me.
