It's my anniversary today...

How long you ask? lol Well we got married 2 years ago. Funny thing is..we've known each other since we were in high school. We dated back then, nothing serious. He used to work in a convenience store and when I would go in and he was working, he would shake my soda after ringing it up, and then proceed to spread my change all over the counter, so that it took me a minute to collect my change. Sometimes he would give me my change all in pennies (if the store wasn't busy). A little over 8 1/2 years ago I caught up with him online, he was living with his sister in Wisconsin. We got to talking and I told him how I had been regretting all this time that I didn't appreciate him when we were dating, he felt the same way. Apparently he had kept in contact with my mom all those years off and on asking her how I was. He dropped everything and moved all the way back to Maine, in the hopes that we would try a real go at it this time. He came back and we've been together ever since. For the longest time I felt horrible because I was the only one of my friends/cousins I knew that never got married. I knew that the man I had Wynonna and JJ with wasn't the person, and it seemed after a while that it was never going to happen. You know how you dream about having the wedding and dress, etc. Well I have to say that I may have had to wait, and I didn't get the dress, ceremony, honeymoon, reception, etc. We were married at mom and dad's, the house I grew up in with mom and dad for witnesses and a JP to marry us. Even family didn't attend. But it was special, the words really meant something to both of us, because we had the experience of the years before that moment...and because he's my pal I love you

awwww congrats!! Smile

today is my 16 year anniversary for our first date. And tomorrow is our 14 year wedding anniversary. (two year anniversary fell on a Friday, had to wait till Sat to get married). SO you picked a pretty good day Smile

Thanks chelle, Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby tomorrow! My parents anniversary is on the 26th (sunday) they will have been married for 44 years. Amazing huh?

He is fond of saying that he lvoes me to death and wouldnt take a million dollars for me, but if he ever gets rid of me he aint gona get no more! LOL
