What's for Supper? Empty What's for Supper?

Roast Beef, potatoes, carrots, and parsnips are sitting in my slow cooker right now. With any luck there will be enough leftovers for stew tomorrow.

I did Chicken Chasseur in my slow cooker on Saturday and had so much of it that I was able to take some to both my mother and my brother with enough left over for supper tonight too!

I had to look that up -- definately not something my kids would eat, but it looks good to me!

Absolutely no kiddos here so I can cook whatever my little old heart desires!

Supper? Who's thought about supper already! I haven't even eaten my breakfast (banana/soy milk smoothie) yet!

I may just show up at one of your homes for supper...

It may just be a "Fend for yourself" night. That or pizza. I'm feeling lazy.

It was taco night here. We had peanut butter cookies for dessert. Tory is picking the menu for each night she is home.

The roast was kind of tough. Must have been a bad cut of meat. Oh well, it's stew tomorrow and I've already got it started with tonight's leftovers!

Zaven ended up inviting a friend over, so I cooked after all... if you count heating canned or frozen food and left overs cooking.

Frozen fish sticks, left over green beans, frozen ravioli, frozen garlic bread, canned peas

Wow...I thought I was the only one with fend for yourself nights....my kids thought that was a great inclusion into the dinner routine several years ago. I have several restrictions on it though...it doesn't mean that they can eat an entire bag of chips and say "I ate dinner". It actually has to be SOME kind of actual nutrition. Both of my boys have been cooking since they were about 8. So it means that everyone is cooking their own meal...even if it only nuked burritos or a can of soup. Usually it's raman noodles or mac n cheese, though. LOL

Meatball hogies was it for us last night. Worked out pretty well considering Monday is family night. My grandmother and aunt come over for dinner (in addition to our regular household) EVERY Monday..it's nice to see them but it's nicer to see them go.

Kimmy it would kill me to have company that often. But then again, when we did cub scouts at our house once a week I always worked extra hard to clean and improved our house a little every week. That was the most productive year ever.

Mondays are a bit busy, that's for sure. I leave the office at 5:00 to rush home, start cooking, tidy up, unload the dishwasher and before I know it..it's already 6:15 and everyone is wondering when dinner is going to be ready. I think Mondays are bad enough without the extra company..I may ask to switch to Tuesdays...
