WHOOO HOOOO -- Good day today!

I'm getting a new car. Just need to wait for dh to get home from work. He has a meeting with the owner of his company.

DH had his review, the company standard is 3%, his department is doing well so the average for his employees is 3.5%. He's getting an 8% raise! His boss wanted to give him more but the poor economy tied the hands.

YAY!!!!

Now if this headache would go away I'd be all set!

Well- the papers are done, money is in the bank!

The Pilot came with 3 months of XM, I got them to do 1 full year. My payments came up higher than they said, I said no way, make it lower, so I got it down $30/month. Over 72 months that's $2,160 I saved. They gave me $11,000 in trade when other dealerships were saying $7,090 in trade. They made the deal right. As an appology they gave me a full tank of gas and a $50 gas gift card.

His raise came in, makes $330/month increase. We are now just a hair below $80K a year. (I had already said his pay in another thread-no bragging, just information).

We're quite amazed, the economy is shit and we're on the top of our game. We both drive vehicles we love, we have a good house (that could use some updates, but verry livable), the credit card debt will be gone at the end of the year, earlier if quit eating out so much and scalled back groceries. We're fine with the end of the year, so no scaling back. There's money in the bank to just go out and have fun. The 401K is growing even with the stocks going down.

I grew up dirt poor, like counting pennies to go buy hotdogs at Aldi's was a treat. We lived in trailers or appartments.

My life is just so far beyond what I grew up with I can't believe it.

Dh grew up with a stay at home mom and a truck driving dad. They never really had much but their basic needs were met. They rarely ate out or took vacations.

I don't mean to be braggy if it comes across that way. I'm just so thankful for what I have. I'm beyond proud of dh. He's worked his butt off and it's finally paying off.

I sometimes sit and feel amazed at the way my life has turned out too! Nothing like I imagined, but amazing and filled with so much love, joy and abundance I sometimes can't get over it!!! LOL!
