National Consumer Panel
I recently got on NCP, awaiting my scanner. Does anyone have tips on how to make the most of it?

Is this a Neilson panel where you scan your grocery purchases? If so, I sent the scanner back after I saw how much work it would be and realized even cheap crappy award stuff would take years to get enough points for. They did send me a nice cooler bag for joining though. I got to keep that and still use it.

I did one of those called Homescan and also sent it back. Not worth the effort.kleenaechs wrote:Is this a Neilson panel where you scan your grocery purchases? Re: National Consumer Panel
I was in one of those time-wasters several years ago. It took too much time to do the scanning, plus plugging in the scanner's charging base into the phone line every night for info pickup.
Then the company decided to get out of the scanning business into more lucrative scams, so I got something like $20-30 total for all the bother. They even said I could keep the scanner (for WHAT?) if I didn't want to bother sending it back for them to dispose of. I sent it back with their postage paid label and tried to forget the whole episode.
At least that company paid $$ instead of just "prizes" that I don't want and can't use. I would never have agreed to mess with it in the first place if all they had offered were overpriced junk.
