a whole lot of sad Empty a whole lot of sad

Post by bizzeedee Tue Oct 09, 2012 5:36 pm

My sister, only surviving sibling passed this morning. She survived cervical cancer but has been in a assisted living home, followed by nursing home and lots of hospital stays for the past 3 years... my heart is broken. We last visited in 2008 and she was doing pretty good, then things went down hill after a fall.

Sadly, we can't get down to NC... hubby hasn't and can't drive in 10 months, and I just can't drive in traffic in large cities... and flying is out of the question as it would require driving thru Nashville to get to an airport. But my niece and nephew understand... still it hurts.

Could use your happy thoughts and prayers. Sad

I'm sorry to hear about this, Dee. Losing a sister is hard. (We need a better group hug icon here.) I still dream about my sister quite often and when I wake up it always seems like she's just paid me a visit.

my niece asked me again, if there was anyway I could get there as they wanted me to do the eulogy... again, I said I'm sorry, but it's not possible. so asked her if I could type one up and email it and someone else could read....she understood and agreed. so tonight, that's my task... to recall 65 years of memories about her. guess I best get started.

Dee,I'm so very sorry about your loss! I didn't see the post until just now.We know how you feel,I think every one of us has lost someone close to us.My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family for strength. Believe it or not my mom visits us,both in our dreams plus she turns lights on to show us that she has visited. We are convinced that there is life after death if that comforts you at all.xoxo
