strange winter
My gosh, today, Feb 1st, and we actually had to turn the A/C on in the car, it was 72 ... totally unheard of in KY this date... and my friends in MI are are amazed at their winter..... 6-8 inches of snow over the weekend, then 50's today and it's all melted. A friend in yoga class went to visit her parents in Nebraska the last 2 weeks, and she said no snow.... now Nebraska is expecting a blizzard...
Strange, very strange !
Strange, very strange !

Re: strange winter
I agree! I live in the south, but it's been pretty mild and warm here for winter. Normally we at least get a month or two in the 30-40s! Nothing yet.

Re: strange winter
Yeah, Michigan's winter is a bust. I just heard that they are going to hold the I-500 snowmobile race this weekend in the Soo, but they're not letting them use the track for practice. Several cross-country ski events have been cancelled. It's really crazy.

Re: strange winter
I guess it's a bummer for MI Lori since winter activites have always played a big roll.
Does it bother you? or are you content with less winter weather?

Re: strange winter
I'm ok with it personally. I have to do a lot of driving, so good roads are always a plus. Last winter was awful, and my sister and I had to reschedule our trip downstate to see the Diana exhibit in Grand Rapids.
On the other hand, we were watching the news last night and I asked Bob if it seemed like snowmobile deaths are unusually high this winter, keeping in mind that there haven't been very many days with the trails even in usable condition. The adrenaline freaks are just making up for lost time by acting even more irresponsible when they are able to ride. Those maniacs will affect us if we decide to go out. It's scary, because the trails are only so wide and you never know who'll be coming at you from the other direction.
Dee, I'm going to move this topic and one more to the Chit Chat area to clear Bzz Chat for all of our new campaigns.
*crossing fingers that I get a campaign soon*

Re: strange winter
It really hasn't gotten cold here. A few nights in the 20's, and mostly 70's and raining.

Re: strange winter
We keep freezing then thawing, freezing then thawing. It's been strange. I live in the snow belt, but we've only had one blizzard this year and even that snow was gone a couple of days later. Of course last year we were completely buried from November - March so maybe this year is evening things out.
Re: strange winter
We have had one major cold snap this winter -35 C. We also experience the freezing/thawing here too. Personally, I just want spring and some spring campaigns. I like to dream

Re: strange winter
It was 73 today and we've had into the 80s, but I won't complain about a mild winter in San Diego! Probably have only had maybe two weeks where at night it got down into the 20s.
