Post by bizzeedee Fri Jan 06, 2012 8:28 pm

This week I received an email from MP... I received 1750 points for a $10 GC... It was a year long thing... I ordered something last year during this new gimick... and so for a year, it kept telling me if I make 3 more orders from MP, I get a $10 GC... well I pretty much do my ordering thru MP during Nov/Dec (for which I think I earned maybe 700 MP or more)... then it showed up I had received a $10 GC... didn't know how to redeem, so emailed them and asked, and they said as soon as the points were no longer pending, I'd received the credit)

Holy Crap... how nice is that... I got MP for each purchase PLUS the 1750 MP... I'm in 7th heaven. I did order a $25 Applebee card the other night, and I still have somethng close to 10,000 points... oh deep breath, now to spend them :-)

well ya know Lori, there never was an 'offer' for me to accept... one day while checking my points account, I noticed a bar across the top and one space was red... it said '3 more purchases and you'll received a $10 GC' ... then as I made orders via MP, noticed a 2nd space was red... and it continued to fill up (the red)

I basically didn't have to do anything other then make 4 purchases within a year, and I did !

Damn, I wanted to drag hubster to a movie but got tied up on the phone. We can't do a 9:00 movie or he'd be sleeping through it. I probably would too. I want to know which movie you saw.

I also found the thing on my account page,it's right above "recent activity" and it's called "your counter".There are 10 boxes filled in (10 purchases) and it says 20 dollar gc,congratulations you qualify for a gift card.

Hey Lori, at least they replied. I just checked my account at MP and see I'm being offered the deal again... I need just make 4 purchases between now and Jan 1 '12. That'll earn me $10 GC (1750 MP). But there are restrictions:

Terms and conditions
All shopping and travel purchases (other than Amazon and Games) of at least $10 each (excluding taxes, shipping & handling, and any special processing fees) made through the MyPoints.com website and emails (including BonusMails®) are eligible towards this promotion. Qualifying purchases must be made within one calendar year from the start date of your Shopping Tally. Each return will subtract from the counter. New purchases will update your Shopping Tally on a daily basis. Multiple transactions made with a single brand on a given day count as one transaction. Any reward you earn will be awarded in the form of points. Only one reward per member will be given for this promotion

You mean between now and Jan 1 '13? You lucky dog! Since the email asked if I had any further questions to just reply to the email, I asked what I could do to get in on that program, too. I'll let you know if I get a reply.

arrrg ! just checked and it says shopping tally expires on 1/1/12 ! since that date has come and gone, maybe their programmer made a typo? if not, wish they'd remove it from my account page !

oh well... if I don't get, I'll still continue to shop thru MPs...

good luck Lori... they say the squeaky wheel gets the oil !

I do pretty good with using MP as my search engine (no, didn't download their search toolbar) ... each month I earn 250=265 points for doing searches... (last month) and this month, doing 123 searches earns 265 points... and that's eazy pezy and I don't even have to spend money !
