Happy Monday
Just thought I'd post something. Everone is way too quiet today.

Re: Happy Monday
It seems quiet everywhere except in the yard today. We had snow over the weekend and now that it's warmed up enough to wear a sweater outside the whole neighbourhood is out there enjoying the weather!
Re: Happy Monday
Drove home from just north of Atlanta today... spent 1 hour in TN going about 3 miles. Big Rig crashed into the side of a mountain, burnt the cab to ashes and tore the front of the trailer open like a tin can.... not a pleasant site. The rest of the time was spent with white knuckles as DH zipped in and out of traffic lanes, with me reminding him from time to time that 80 mph was not acceptable !
Home and looked like rain coming, so went out and mowed the yard gone wild....
Now just chillin with a glass of wine... will think about finishing up the unpacking tomrorow, or maybe the next day LOL because I do see a 2nd and probably 3rd glass of wine coming and a much needed shower.
It was a good Monday, because we're home in one piece and get to sleep in our own bed tonight!

Re: Happy Monday
Me either. I don't mind if no one else is on the road, but I don't trust the other drivers to be competant.
That being said, I try to stay withing 5 mph of the traffic flow. It's more dangerous to have all those cars whizzing past you than it is to speed a little.

No, 80 isn't acceptable, although it's much less dangerous if you're the only one on the road. In highly traveled/urban areas it shouldn't even be 70.

Re: Happy Monday
The speed limit is 70 here, which means everyone else is going 80+. It kills me when we go to Louisiana, and the limit is 55 in most places.....feel like I am crawling along.

Re: Happy Monday
Erin I'm more comfortable with crawling than speeding along and zipping in and out of lanes, and saddly, that's what DH does. I used to feel real comforable with his driving, but, honestly, the older he gets, the faster he goes and the more nervous I get... guess I've become my Mother.... she was the same way and we used to chide her about being a nervous nelly... now I am too!

Re: Happy Monday
Self-preservation is a real issue. I hate giving my life over to someone else, whether its the someone driving my car or someone else on the road who needs to get there yesterday.
