DH birthday and AVATAR

Well today was DH's birthday, so I let him plan our day. For him, we usually do dinner and a movie. Of all things, he picked Avatar... I'm thinking, sleeping during the movie.

boy was I wrong ... it was outstanding... 2 hours and 40 minutes flew by.... as much as I needed to go pee, just could find a time to leave for 5 minutes... I was totally amazed at how that movie blew me away. and I cried. Can you believe that? A science fiction, half (well more than than that) computer generated movie... but I was bawling at the end.

We also did some shopping at our favorit Amish Store, Sam's and ended our day at Outback... which was great, but after a small soda and popcorn, not to mention taste samples at Sam's, could not finish it all... neither of us... so guess supper tomorrow night will also be from Outback.

Kinda too bad it was such a beautiful day outside... would have loved working in the garden when it's 68 degrees on March 8th !

But he's my dear dear love, so it was worth it, afterall, there will be plenty of nice days ahead--maybe just not this week even though warm, it's maybe going to be raining :-(

Happy birthday to your beloved! It's so nice to hear a woman say how she loves her husband. Too many marriages aren't so strong. And I'm extra happy to hear you had fun on his special day despite not getting outside. Hopefully the rain will hold off until after dark tomorrow.

I loved Avatar, too. I'm a sci-fi fan but even if I hadn't been, I can't imagine not being blown away by it. I haven't seen The Hurt Locker yet since the closest it was playing was in Lexington but it must be a great movie to have beaten Avatar in the Oscars.

I loved Avatar, too. I've heard people say that they disliked it because of how it depicted the military, but I don't know if that's why it was beat out by The Hurt Locker. I haven't seen The Hurt Locker, either. Our local theater targets the teens, so we'll need to rent Oscar Nominated Films like Precious, The Hurt Locker, An Education... the list goes on. There were 10 best picture nominees this year.

I think it's because the oscars never really choose a cartoon,they always choose a serious drama,usually the kind that put me to sleep
