wrist Empty wrist

Post by trax Sun Jan 31, 2010 3:50 pm

i was to the doctor the other day to evaluate the progress on my wrist. it is progressing and the metal is attaching well, everything is positioned as it should be. then, the doctor drops the big one and tells me once this all has healed you will require second surgery to remove the metal. lord, i thought i was going to have the big one.

i said to the dr. do i have this right - i fall, shatter my wrist, enter hospital. i am discharged - i am not bionic and i do not have a big chest and now you are telling me this. smucksville

the specialist is to call on wednesday to review and update. affraid

i'll try to keep on the sunny side. at least i was able to have it repaired and i did not have to take out a loan or remortgage the home cheers

What a shocker! They should explain these things the first time around, shouldn't they? Did they have an estimate as to when the second operation would be?

You're right, though, it could be worse. You could have re-mortgaged your home for the first operation and then not been able to afford the second one at all.

Wow! I'm happy they can fix it, but that's kind of a big bombshell to drop. I don't know much about the Canadian medial insurance system. Will the gov't pay for it? Or do they pay some and you pay some? I hope it won't cost you too much.

Well at least this time it's working in your favor. I'm glad you'll be able to get the care you need.
