havin a slightly icky day... Empty havin a slightly icky day...

Post by chelle Thu May 21, 2009 1:43 pm

i have been having issues with my computer. Well instead of taking it to a repair man I decided to just reboot the whole damn thing.

I keep getting fatal errors and various other crap. half the windows I open freeze up and wont repond etc.

I tried to save as much stuff as I could. what I thought I couldnt live with out. I THOUGHT I got roboform. APparently I got the program, but not the passwords... hundreds of websites.

I forgot to get my favorites list..

I DID get my address book and most of my picutres.

Now I am on hour 4 of DL XP version 8, because you cant do CRAP with vrsion 6. AND I cant even tend my garden in facebook, till I DL flash again.

I broke a nail while opening a bucket of balls that I was writin "orioles, minors, 2009" on for the teams party, (in leau of trophies, because I knew I wouldnt even get the money for the party from the parents, much less enough to cover trophies-- and they are bitchin about trophies.... My solution? I plan to tell them that I will be happy to buy them and give them to the boys, but they will say "Orioles, 2009, last place" I mean come on, these kids are 9-11 years old. They need to get over the 'we are all winners' stage and face facts. They sucked. hell half of them didnt even hit a ball all season..)

I dont have time to fix the nail. .
I still havent fixed my dishwasher. not enough Bow-free time.

I forgot it took 4 double cakes for the baseball field cake, I only made 3, went to start the other, had 2 eggs. needed 6.

I had to wash and dry 4 sinkfulls of dishes, by hand.

BR didnt cut the plywood that I needed to put the cake on, so I had to do that this morning. when I was ALMOST through, Rayley hollered at me, I thought she had found another snake, looked up, the saw grabbed the 4X4 sheet of ply wood that I was cutting to 3x3 and threw it about 4 feet, I was still holdin it, now my shoulder/back hurts. But dont tell BR. I wouldnt ever admit it. oh and it was just a damn cricket. She wanted to feed to the chickens..

I found out there is no way to ride in my truck and hold a 3X3 sheet of plywood with a cke on top.

I dont have an extra seat, BR and the kids fill up the truck.

I couldnt find my duck (duct, it has a duck on it and is DUCK brand) tape, to put the newspaper, then foil, then parchement paper on the plywood, which was a trick unto itself. Especially since I had Bow's help. I ended up using electrical tape. which WILL NOT stick to parchemnt paper.

I still have to make 2 batches of icing, make sure that these idiots I live with didnt eat all the graham crackers that I need for the cake. ( I told each one of them more than once not to eat them.. and even bought 2 packages.... But I have seen empy packages a few times)

I haveto get the pizzas, (which I have 10.00 left over from the people who paid me after buyin the balls) the soda's, plates, forks, cups etc. and hope the others will pay up.

I have to fiqure out all my passwords. I have days of DL's to do. My CD reader/burner thingy wont work. So, the few programs that I have on disk (word/excel office suite 97) wont work. and I cant make my printer work, cause I cant DL the disk.

I have to pack up and load the popup tent, 9 chairs (our 6 and 3 extra's), wash out coolers, etc.

OH and I have to go and pick snap beans at some point today. hopefully I can get that 'add an hour to the day' machine working that I have been tinkering with in my sparetime....

Oh Chelle! I am so sorry. I have had days kind of like that (though probably not as bad). They totally suck.

If it makes you feel any better I have had an icky couple weeks.

Our TV died last week so we took what we had in our savings and had to get a new one. The furnace man is coming tomorrow to put in a new furnace. Ours was ready to kick the bucket and we were really taking chances by using it all winter long because I could smell fuel really strong every time it kicked on, the barrier between the fire box and the motor was corroded. That is a $2500.00 bill of which we have already paid half a couple weeks ago and half to pay the other half after he installs it tomorrow. I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

oh kelly, its such a good thing that you had some of the money saved!! YUCK!

yES erin!! we need to do that! :Smile

LOL karen, of course.

OH I am o nDay 18 for my incubated eggs. this is the day you stop turning them, take them out of the cartons and up the humidity. I was doing that, saw one of them was pipped. I had already took it out, and I could hear chirping. So I gently sat it down in the bottom, hoping I hadnt sloshed it around and drowned it.

It has since flipped over, (the egg, still no chick, ) and is slowly zipping the shell. SO, I might get a baby chick on this shitty day. WOnderful right?? except, I loaded my heat lamp to my sister in law. I have to get it back cause once this chick hatches I have to get it to 95* and keep it warm! I was supposed to get it back tomorrow night after the game.. LOL

have to reboot, adobe doesnt want to load.. its froze and it took me 12 minutes for my typing to show up....

We have 2 days till we actually Move into the house, saturday. As of Today 2 ceiling fans do not work, the lights in one flicker, and the mirrors for the bathrooms are not here yet. The ceiling are not painted, and the a/c has not been charged......and one of the bathroom fans sounds like a chainsaw.
I could easily become a drunk at this point........oh yeah, dh and I are BOTH quitting smoking on Saturday....

Yep, just stay in bed. If you do rise, well - have a chocolate bar. Want more zip to add, have a drink of whiskey. Whatever you opt for do not go to bzzscapes, it'll make your head spin. The dizziness may cause convulsions. You maybe overtaken.

Stick with chocolate, whiskey or wine. Razz or for that matter, John Prine!

well, after the cake being lopsided all day, (bow took it upon hisself to dig into a 1/2 of a cake that I was using to build the other side)

I was finally icing it. I had made 2 batches of icing. the last one was green, I had already dyed it.

Right before I had the green mixed in good, the mixer broke.

will not work. even with one thingy.

I have some left over from the batch of green icing, but none that I can dye.

I have to be at the school by 10 for our last 'store' and since the coach never called me back, I have to get the drinks, plates, cups etc.
