Post by BuzzNut Thu Apr 30, 2009 11:09 am

I received another "generic" email this morning saying that an investigator was looking into it. Well that investigator never got back with me last week when they were suppose to. All I got was the email that stated they had been credited....yep I had, but not for the ones I was questioning from March. And the saga continues.

Well crap... I got the same anniversary offer last week and ordered from JCPenney. I got 45 worth of stuff, two have to go back but i will still be over the $25 requirement. AND I made an Avon order through them. I better get credit... I wont give up I will hound them til I die.

I was totally pissed at Avon... I paid through paypal and they overcharged me... it was not what it said my total was so I called and they said they add a 15% hold on the card (um paypal isn't a card but whatever) BUT they could have put that somewhere BEFORE I ordered, cause if it was there it was well hidden, I check these things. So instead they pulled it from my bank account because I was very very careful to stay under what I had in my paypal account. GRRRRR If I get a $25 fee for them moving money from savings to checking Avon will be paying it, or I will hunt them down and behead them.

How long does it take for the Bzzpoints to show up usually?I have never paid attention before, but they are not showing in my acct, and they owe me 150 points.

I am shuddering to think how long it will take for the ones from Dh;s Cabelas order to show. He order over $500, so I am supposed to get 1056 points, IF they credit them....

The points should show within 30 days of ordering. If not, contact them. Once they do show, they'll be pending for 30 days, though.

Usually the points I get from Bzz are in my account (pending) within a few days. Except for my March ones, and who knows when or if I'll get those. I'm still arguing, and as usual I haven't heard anything from MP for a few days.

I swear, MyPoints should be called MyMorons.
Once again, I got another email from their "investigation". They are insisting my points for March are there. All the 50 points showing are for the reports I done in April, and I had 4 of them. They are pending until May 22 (I think). That is the only ones that I have credit for.
I have sent them a copy of my page from BA of the reports that I have done. It really doesn't take a genious to figure out that my points for March were not given.
They even gave me directions to view my points under BA for 3 months. I guess I need to send them detailed instructions on how to find that I am MISSING 100 points for March reports. MP is really starting to get on my last nerve.
This makes the 3rd "investigation" that they have done. Well guess what, I sent a reply back, and then got another auto email that they are doing another investigation!

Some days I do not get any. Other days I am bombarded with them.
I would suggest emailing them about it arny, but after my problem with them lately, I'm not sure you'd get anywhere. They'd probably have to do 10 investigations, and then still not give you an answer, or tell you that you have to sign up for emails. Sarcasim you say...yep!

Bzznut, try calling Bzz about this, not MP. Bzz must tell them what you earned, they can't post it just because you copied your page that shows you earned it kwim?

Been there, done that. I did that after the second email with MP. They say contact MP. They were of no help.

Make bzz recheck how many points they sent to mp. It is just wrong of them to be no help at all. Sorry this happened to you.

the only issue that I have with mypoints currently is that I cannot get my points to show up on their toolbar. The"toolbar error, please click here" will not go away. no matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall. I do it step by step and nothing happens.
its a minor problem, but I like seeing my points listed and see them grow with every email i open.

I am having the same issue with the toolbar. It worked on my old laptop. I figure it is something having to do with cookies. I think Kaspersky or Windows Vista is blocking them and I can't for the life of me find how to let it through.

I emailed mypoints about it today...I'm thinking Windows Vista since I don't have Kaspersky.

I never downloaded the toolbar, because many people had talked about having problems with it. And I have enough problems with them.

they emailed back and apparently infospace is working on fixing it. They suggested uninstalling it and trying again as that works for a lot of people (umm did I not say that it doesn't work and I've tried many times). and that if you are still experiencing problems, a new version is coming out Summer 2009... great, I thought the Spring 2009 was suppose to solve this issue.

maybe I just don't know how to make sure my laptop will accept cookies, but I thought I did...

I don't know the point system for using the toolbar, but it you use MP as your "search engine" you get points. Last two months, I think 30 searches gave me 50 or 75 MP. Heck, you don't even have to be searching for anything real... just type in "something" and do a web search... I find myself now going to MP and doing a search when looking for a TV link, or any website... it's like free points, and you don't have to deal with their tool bar.

I have not heard anything from my last email I sent them last week. Heck if they weren't going to give me my points that I earned, I was going to clear the air, and I let them have it. So much for that last investigation. I'm sure I will hear nothing more about the issue, and in my opinion that is just very bad customer service and nothing more.
Just to be a thorn in their side, I should email them every day. Every time I think of it, I get so mad I could chew nails.
