Re: New look for board
AND I found a MAJOR problem (yes Karen, I am ignoring you)
My avatar, and everyone elses,... they are covering up half of the icon that says "ONLINE"
This is a major problem for me.
Yep.
Major problem.
and it still loads too fast.

Re: New look for board
Rebecca, I love it, I love it, I love it ! The blue is good, I don't have to scroll any direction expect up and down, the popping yellow stars indicating new post, well they pop right out at ya! The new layout, colors, ease of use, were a great and appreciated surprised when I got here a few minutes ago!
THANK YOU

Re: New look for board
I like this one too. Only suggestion is to make the font on the dark blue buttons white or lighter. Great job, Rebecca.
Re: New look for board
Fantastic!! One of the best designs I've seen. No scrolling to the right anymore and it's SO easy to find new posts. Thank you!
Re: New look for board
Well, if you want to be that picky I could point out that it's your own fault for having a big avatar. My av is smaller and you can see the entire online button next to mine.chelle wrote:AND I found a MAJOR problem (yes Karen, I am ignoring you)

Re: New look for board
How about if we don't see the complete Online button we just assume you aren't around and we can feel free to talk about you?

Re: New look for board
I told them all if we whispered and told you it was a bad connection you would never notice anyway.
Re: New look for board
And we have ourselves a WINNER!
Oh my goodness! Rebecca, you've done a wonderful job on this re-work! The ugly urp green is GONE leaving behind a beautiful, cool, calming blueness.
I'm so impressed!

Re: New look for board
I haven't read all the posts here so sorry if this was covered.
The Calendar button doesn't load for me, ever. Is this just a problem I have or a board issue?

Re: New look for board
Doesn't for me either. But, Rebecca is on vacation from her job so she's decided she's going to take a rest from trying to read code for a week or two. The plan is to get around to it in the near future, but spend the rest of her vacation playing with her kids and resting.
Re: New look for board
The button doesn't load for me either, but it works when I click it so I wont complain. Which reminds me I want to be first.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAREN, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOTT and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to both of you!!!!!!!
Re: New look for board
Awww! Thank you!
Yup. This is the big weekend. My B-day is Saturday, our 19th anniversary is Sunday, and Scott's birthday is Monday. My plan is to go to the movies and maybe out to eat. We usually do something bigger, but Scott's coming down with a cold and I've got a huge cold sore and it just seems like it'll be too much. I'm gonna just relax and that's it.
And for those of you who wonder what the traditional 19th wedding anniversary gift is, I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure that the 20th is the 2" x 4" anniversary. I could be wrong. It could be the cinder block anniversary --- you know, to put my car up on. But I think that sounds more like the 25th. So I'm gonna say the 19th is the internal hard drive anniversary, since that's what I've already ordered for us.

Re: New look for board
Have a great time! Have you started on the new computer yet?
25 is coming up for hubby and I in the fall. I told him at our 23rd I wanted a ring for our 25th. When we got married we couldn't afford a ring, so my grandma gave me hers (my grandpa has passed away by then). At some point it stopped fitting me, even though I have not gained weight. I really don't want to size it again, so I stopped wearing it and bought a cz. Good thing I have come to like the cz because the economy has made such trouble for us that I won't be getting any new ring, this year or likely any year, I fear. I know it seems silly, but I really wanted a ring from my hubby.

Re: New look for board
Honey, I don't blame you for asking for a ring after all those years. It would be really nice if your DH would remember you saying that, but I'm sure after 25 years you've noticed that sometimes it takes a sledgehammer to pound something into their heads. I'm crossing my fingers that he remembered!

Re: New look for board
Thanks Lori. I consider myself lucky when he remembers the day of the month for our anniversary, let alone the year lol. I try to be happy with the little things he does remember. Like this week when he had to go to a customer's place of business, which is a fruit and vegetable stand. He bought me some really nice big tomatoes he saw. He doesn't even like tomatoes, but he knows I love them. I very much love to make tomato sandwiches. He said he thought these were the kind that made the best sandwiches like I like. So tomatoes say love to me, more than a ring I rarely wear anyway (I only put my rings on when I leave home). However, I still would like to have the ring

Re: New look for board
Honey, that was so sweet of him! And I hope that he does remember the ring. I get sentimental about stuff like that, too.
No, I haven't started on the computer yet. I didn't want to pay extra for faster shipping so I'm still waiting on the parts.
