our house! Zach and I were sick Sunday night/Monday morning. I still feel like crap and am extremely week. DH thinks he is coming down with it. Only he started to feel miserable yesterday and still feels terrible today (not vomiting for him yet tho). Ceilidh seems to be the only one to escape this, and I am so praying that she avoids it at least until after Christmas!

I called off work yesterday and today and I feel so guilty over it! Tonight was supposed to be my last shift, but I just can't make it in. They were great tho and told me not to worry about it, and that I need to get better myself and take care of my family. They did ask if I could try to pop in to see them tomorrow (which I will). They were such a great company to work for!

Oh, I hope you are all better for Christmas. I woke up with yet another round of the cold that just wont quit, but I'll take that over a stomach flu anyday.

MIL went to the ER yesterday for what ended up being diagnosed as flu. Yikes. Take care of yourselves and don't knock yourself out trying to get somewhere. We don't want you to share with us. At least not this particular item.

Yeah, I would so take a cold over the stomach flu! Ceilidh still feels excellent! I just lysoled the house down, so hopefully that helps prevent her from getting it. Mind you if she does it get it tonight, it won't be too bad. She'll be better for Christmas morning. Kids seem to bounce back much quicker. Zach was perfectly fine yesterday evening (during the day he was just tired and lied down with me a lot).

so sorry, bad anytime, but at Christmas, well geesh. That sucks. I had a cold for 10 days, got over it (I thought) and today, well it's baaaaack. But since I'm not going anywhere, no kids or grandkids here for Christmas, it's not big deal. But for young families, well Crying or Very sad

Well gosh, compared to you, I feel much better... sorry yours has gone on so long... that just doesn't seem right. Have you seen a doctor? I know, normally when you have a cold, you dont go the do cause they can't do anything other than say "sorry, can't do anything". But a re-occurring cold since Sept? Well that just doesn't right... maybe allergies or something?

Sure hope that soon it'll all be over for you

One of my kids has come down with some osrt of plague the day after Christmas for 20 years. It's always something serious too, like the pox, or whooping cough, or ebola....

My son just turned 24 and he told me the other night he was so sick of being sick at Christmas every year. Last year he had the flu and it took him 4 hours to drive a 2 hour trip. This year he has the sore throat virus that is running rampid around here.

Dh came home from work last night sick, so it's not gone from our house yet. I know this is a miserable virus, but I'm hoping he is up and about soon! I had to get mobile on Monday because "it was Christmas and things needed to get done", well this is Christmas eve and things need to get done. We didn't even go for groceries yet and we are hosting a Christmas breakfast tomorrow! I know DH will say "Get your sister to take you", yeah, like my sister is going to want to be around these germs any earlier then she has to. LOL. He doesn't mind people spreading germs as long as it's him/us doing the spreading to other people, but other people spreading germs to us and he loses his mind!! I really have no sympathy for him! I had to clean up after Zach (and that was gross), and take care of Zach all night when I was sick and last night he couldn't even rinse out his own freaking bucket that he threw up in!! I mean come on!!

So far so good for Ceilidh tho! I am so praying that she stays fine today and tomorrow!!

I am sorry there are other people sick! It's a miserable time of the year to be sick!

Tara - I was like that last year when Ceilidh started preschool. Actually both kids were as well. All sick right from September to June! So not fun. Hopefully your immune system builds up soon!

Oh geez.... you're whole situation sounds very familiar! I came down with the flu on Saturday night, was in bed on Sunday and was very weak and couldn't do much on Monday. Yesterday I finally got to the cinnamon rolls I make everyone for Christmas, but I still have some shopping and gift cards to buy.... so off I go!

So far no one else (even the kids!) have gotten it......I'm just hoping that it doesn't come tonight at chruch!

Hope everyone is feeling better and Merry Christmas!
