SO excited for my friend!!!

My Bestie has been trying to have a baby for YEARS, she finally gave up and decided to adopt. She is single, and has no desire to be married again after her DH's death, so she never thought she would be approved. She applied to be a Foster parent, and has been for a while now. She has a "sibling group" and has had them for 9 months or so. There are 2 boys and 4 girls, ranging from 3 yo twins to a 9yo girl
She has been approved to adopt them, and it should be final before Christmas. So, she is getting 6 kids for Christmas.....what more could you ask for? I will be giving her loads of tylenol this year as a gift....she is gonna need it.

Oh Wow! She must be a saint! 6 kids all at once and a single mom? Good for her! Im sure this will be a great gift for her but what an amazing and incredible gift she is giving to these kids who will all get to stay together and have a permanent family!

as a single mom who gave up her child for adoption (many years ago) i say congrats to your friend and her new children... a win=win and loving situation for them all. (but goodness, that is a lot all at one time... good thing she's been fostering them for a while, at least she knows what's she's getting into!)

Oh wow! That is wonderful! What a blessing for all of them to be allowed to stay together. And truly, she will get so much from this. It will be amazingly difficult, but in the long run, so worthwhile. She will be swimming in love, LOL!

Congrats to her!! That is so wonderful, my heart has always broken for children seperated This just brings tears to my eyes.

Of course as a mother of 4, I also recommend getting her a nice stock of wine. And possibly some xanex if you can swing it.

Wow, that is good news. She sounds like a friend of mine. They tried and it never happened, so they became foster parents. They adopted one that they have had for several years now. I ran into her the other day, and they now have 5 siblings they are adopting. I can't remember the ages of hers (she went through them so fast), but they are all over the place. I think the oldest one is 11. That will make them 6 and she said they were quitting. She said everything is done but the signing, and the case worker they had moved, so they are having to wait on a new one. She said they all knew what was happening and all were fine with it, and happy.
