Thanks lori Smile

and yes, the elctric is the biggest thing. sadly. LOL

when its 100* outside and you cant bathe (no elctric, no water), you cant cook except outside. you cant get cool. its 85* at night.

we do have a generator and can run the freezers. Or a fan. Or the fish tanks... My horses just kinda stay out there. LOL

But the dogs will be taken to my grandfathers, he has a garage they can go in. And yes, All 6 of us, and 2 dogs I am just not going to do that. LOL I was so miserable when we evac'd for RIta. In the car wiht a year old and 6 and 5 year olds for almost 30 hours strait was MISERABLE.

I have tried to get most of my pictures and such in plastic. Contaners, ziplocs. I still have LOTS to do. But Bow is asleep in my lap and if I move him he will wake up Sad

Oh man, I couldn't imagine going long without power. 10 years ago we lost it, lots of people for almost a week. I lived in a town with their own power and it was off less than 24 hours. I would die if 85 was 'cool', we are already getting down to the upper 30's low 40's at night here. I have the window open with the fan on... that is perfect sleeping temp. I get upset when it goes out for an hour or two when it's hot and I'm stuck with no A/C, you have my deepest sympathies.

What happens when people don't show up at their jobs for several days or a week because of forced evacuations? Do they still get paid? Do a lot of people just move inland until they can find a motel with a vacancy? What if you don't have anywhere to go or no money to pay for a room?

It has to awful when kids' schooling keeps being interrupted and businesses have to close and are not bringing in any money. I mean, we have snowstorms, but at least we can just stay put until we can dig ourselves out. Yes, the schools close, but it's normally only a day or two unless we're talking lots of ice.

That's where I find it difficult. Ususally, if something is headed my way, my company will close, however, that decision isn't made until VERY close to that time. Seeing as though I'm one of the people responsible to close it, it's always too late for me to get out of Florida.

(((((awwww Connie, Thank you!!)))))

we will be fine. The most we will get is trees down and lights out. Sad I am about 100 miles north of Port Arthur and Beaumont. Orange is the county right above those citys and I am the LONG county above them. Smile (they have been showing us on the weather updates)

But Thank you sooo much!!! Smile

ROFLMAO! beachy!! dont you love it? I was dying laughing when I saw it!!

We are headed to MIL's for a little while, if it starts to get bad we will hunker down.

Bye y'all and thanks for the prayers! Smile

You are all in my prayers! I was watching the weather channel earlier and trying to pinpoint where you all were and hoping it was far enough away!

Chelle; I am scared for you.
I am watching it on the news right now.
This is a very serious storm.
They just said on the news that if you are still there it is too late to evacuate so you better hunker down because you are on your own. Crying or Very sad
PLEASE, take cover and be safe! Crying or Very sad
