My 'boys are on a roll this year

My boys are poo poo heads this year, my college boys that is. I'm a huge FSU fan, but we aren't even in the top 25! I should be watching the UF/Miami game, but I really don't want to see UF win. lol

I'm a Bucs and Eagles fan too ( yes I know, it's not right to be both!) I'm a Bucs fan #1, but I hail from Philly originally, and they're in the same division, so if the Bucs fall out, I always have my Eagles!

P.S. I'm one of the nicer Eagle fans Chelle, so I'm hushin bout your Cowboys!

Might have been my fault. it was already headed downhill, but when he tore up a Troy Aikman poster and book cover, he found out just what 'openin a can of whoopass' meant.

He was a saints fan. which should have been my first clue that we were NOT meant for each other...

The pool I am in is a study from Yale U. The winner each week gets a $50 amazon GC. I came in second. The other person a 9.67 percent difference in overall NFL scores and I had 9.40. What you have to do is pick who will win the game and by how many points. I gave no one more than 2 touchdowns to win the game. For instance if I say a team will win by 4 but they lose by 3, my overall difference will be 7. Anyway, I kinda have juice with the guys this week, lol. I won a little bit of money but won't get it until the end, like you (but far less than you).

I won a quarter so far. I just got my sheets day before yesterday and havent even seen what is what yet. I know that 2 games have been played that I am in.

I bought 2 squares in 40 games.

the next one is Sunday I have 3 for the pats and 1 for the jets on my 1st sqaure. THEN 5 for the pats and 0 for the jets on my 2nd square.

The end of the quarter if the last number in the score matches my numbers for my square then I win.

So like if its 13 pats and 21 jets in any quarter I will win 25. And if the score stays the same though all quarters I will will 100.00.

I've got my fingers crossed for you Chelle. That is one cool pool you're in. The guys were telling me to check the Vegas bookies before I go in but it's fun just like it is.

How you holding up with Hurricane Ike? I have family in Houston and they say they are fine. It has me on pins and needles, though.

All I can say is Go BSU.. and then GO Denver!

Tommorow is our homecoming game against Bowling Green but Im looking forward to the Hawaii game.. I know they lost a lot of seniors but I still think it will be a great game and plan to be there.. My all time favorite is BSU vs U of I (vandals) and we went to that one last year but this year they are playing in Moscow..

It does make it very convenient that both my fave teams have the same colors and names.. so GO BRONCOS!

Let's go Chicago Bears!!! Sadly, I missed last weeks game against the Colts (BOO!! HISS!) but I heard it was a game to be talked about. Tim is in a pool at work, but I never pay attention to how those things work. As long as I know we are making money, then I am okay with it. lol I know there is to be a lot of football game watching this Sunday, since that is when most of the games are being played that he has bet on, so let's hope we come out with some moola!

i am a Bears fan, have been since birth. I was only 5 when we did the Super Bowl Shuffle... lol I still remember it, and remember being a little one dancing to it. =)

I was so excited when it was the Bears VS Colts for the Super Bowl a few years back. Sad that we lost, but we put in a GREAT game. *fingers crossed we make it again!*

lol.. I guess so.. I don't feel young, i don't feel old. But I am sure that is gonna change as my son grows up! lol

What a great game between the Longhorns and the Red Raiders! A fantastic Saturday afternoon and evening was spent watching the battle of these two giants!
Chelle, you orchestrated all of it, didn't you, knowing how much it would be appreciated.

Of course my dear and darling husband said "hmppphhhhh, If I didnt know better I'd think the Cowboys were out there playin." How RUDE. LOL

So far I have 'won' 100.00 I still have 100.00 to go before I dont owe the kitty. But I might can pull it out

On the NFL side....well.........things aren't going so well......my team is really not doing so well.......the 49ers. BUT, I have to say that I LOVE Mike Singletary as coach, what he did last week was AWESOME! Kicking his own player out of the game for bad behavior, it's nice to see a coach not be intimidated by bratty players!

My hubby and I got into fantasy football because our teams have been so bad the last few years, and now our 12 year old daughter is REALLY into fantasy football too! LOL

OMG, when I learned that Singletary was coach, I just about jumped up and down! Remember how his eyes used to look through his helmet? He was such a great player and guy and I was really sad when he retired.

I'm a big Michigan fan myself. Actually, S. Calif has always loved them. I know that's weird but it's like having a favorite cousin, lol. The 49ers made some mistakes when they created that policy about trading off star players in their prime. When they traded off Montana and Rice a long while ago, I saw the change then. I was hopeful for this season but it didn't happen. Although, I've never not been a Raiders fan so I understand your loyalty.

I didnt hear about hte coach doing that!! I LOVE It!! more of them need to do it. Instead of babying them. They are grown men for Gods sake. They need to act like it instead of titty babies.

I am sure that Texas is no longer number 1. And I hate that. BUT, they did deserve to have their rears handed to them if they cant do any better than that.

I am getting ready now to watch the 'boys. Just finished makin Tuna fish for lunch (Its what we always had on normal Sundays at my grandparents) and I am gettin my popcorn ready. On a pop corn popper, the kind with grease and a hot bottom. No microwave junk here

BSU moved up to 9/10 in the AP and another poll! WHOOO HOO!!! Im not sure why but Im not questioning it.. we played New Mexico yesterday and they lost to UofI last week!!!! NO ONE Loses to the Vandals.. haha.. So it was a blow out yesterday..

On the other hand.. my other broncos are getting their hineys kicked by MIAMI.. this just is sooo not right. Good thing I have my hot wings and pizza to take the sting out of it.
