Random questions? Empty Random questions?

Post by edbson Mon Jun 02, 2008 7:10 pm

Since my brain is off for the night, I have a ?

Would it be/is it considered tacky, or a major faux pas to use address labels for a shower invite, a casual wedding shower?
I have to send out like 273 of them, and it would save me a ton of time. Not plain ones, decorated pretty ones, but still computer generated.
My friends DD is gettng married, and I volunteered to do the shower, since she is doing my DD a huge baby shower and all...

I think it would be fine. Mind you, I haven't thrown one of those, but if I received one with an address label I wouldn't think twice about it.

Lord no it's wouldn't be a faux pas to use labels on shower invitations.
I would NOT use them on wedding invites but for a shower it's perfectly ok

I agree that it would be fine to use address labels. A shower is no big deal.

My brother sends out the invites with the addresses preprinted... and I think it helps to save him time with all the parties for his daughters and all the members in the family. I think it is fine. If done with style, it will make it look professional!

YIKES! 273 people being invited to a shower? Where's it gonna be held, town hall? Laughing

And heck yeah, do the computer labels... most people wouldn't give it a 2nd thought.... I think even Emily Post's granddaughter would agree on this.

LOL! Where's it stuck? They melt some in warm water, so if you can reach it, a warm damp washcloth may help.

I wouldn't think twice about receiving or sending any kind of an invitation (wedding included) that had a pre-printed label. It makes so much sense in this day and age. It's been a while since I last had to put a large scale mailing list together but is there not a feature you can use to maybe select a more "elaborate" font?
