To Darby and Mrschia, et al

Now that a day or so has passed, and you have had a chance to calm down, I'd like to ask you to review the posts you made the other day. I have been debating on the best way to bring this up. I considered writing you both a PM, but since your posts were public I think we need to address the issue publicly.

Darby, I love that you went to all that effort to help the Canadians and I so appreciate it. And that I hope you'll come back and continue to be an active member and post more. But your recent posts included yelling and name calling. We would never let another member call you names, so we need to ask the same from you. We should all behave with dignity. I'd like to invite you to reconsider your posts, look back through them and see if you can edit them so that they are not yelling or insulting to other members.

Mrschia, you have been a member longer than Darby. I am asking you to also look at your posts from the other day. Although you did not include the actual word, it was clear that you were calling Darby a rude name. I am not asking you not to defend your opinions or your right to express them. But I am asking that you edit the post to simply say she was being rude.

At this point, no one is being banned, no threads or posts are being removed, and the moderators are not editting the members. But we won't allow further incidences to occur.

I hope that we can all find ways to work out our differences in a respectful way.

And to everyone else, I am asking that you not use this board as a means to attack others. It's supposed to be fun, not hateful.

And speaking of fun, you are all invited to a Bzz-party Tues. No occasion, just a chance to have fun.

What a great response Karen. I love how our UB moderators are open-minded and able to react to these type situations in a respectful way.

It is a very good idea Karen and I think it should be directed towards everybody here at the UB to go thru their posts and remove the yelling and name calling. It is more than just a couple people doing it. Not pointing any fingers its just my own opinion.

Wtg- handled wonderfully in my opinion. A lot of people (including myself) find their mouths moving before the brain engages fully. A lot of things can be said in the heat of the moment that we wish we could take back. Congrats to MrsChia- we all need to more like that and be able to say sorry. I"m Sorry- those two words come out of my mouth a lot!!!!!!

I am asking this in all seriousness, did I say anything that needs edited? I feel like in the BeeLog when they say people are lying about Dave and Joe, I think they mean me. I said the most about them, but I don't think I crossed any line did I?

Thank you for addressing this. I was actually put off and a bit miffed so I could not read all the posts and even debated leaving alltogether. But Boy....That was an expensive move as I went online shopping :-)

and since there are 6 of us, and 2 dogs and a cat, we live in the country and noone here could pick up anything if their life depended on it ( and belive me, there are times when I threaten their lives for the messes) its not a cake walk.
