Sleep talker...
My poor son! He is talking in his sleep. "No more pictures!" "Hands dirty!"
I guess I took too many pictures of him the past few days! And he must be thinking of when he got his hands messy with an ice cream cone earlier! lol

Re: Sleep talker...
Zaven and Caly shared a bedroom for a long time, because she couldn't sleep in a room by herself. I used to hear them both sleep talking at the same time, each taking turns like you would in a regular conversation, and at first it would make sense, but then you realized they were talking about different things.
"We shouldn't put it in a hole."
"Why not?"
"It will get dirty."
"But my feet are too wet."
"Zaven! I said don't put it in the hole!"
"Thanks for the towel, Caly. But I need soap."
"Now it's ruined. I have to throw it away."
"Not that soap! It smells bad."
and on and on for 10 or 15 minutes even. Always clearly talking to each other, but NEVER talking about the same thing. Caly still talks in her sleep, but she never stops talking. And Zoe bosses and yells and bitches in her sleep, which makes perfect sense because that's how she talks during the day. (She's 3 and the bigger ones spoiled her rotten.)

Re: Sleep talker...
I guess I used to talk in my sleep. I guess once I told my ex he was the best cousin ever, when I had a dream about my cousin saving me from harm.
I had a friend that fell asleep while I was making them something to eat and when I asked them what kind of dressing they wanted I was told "catlionteeth"... lol
I just hope that my son does not sleepwalk. I did that when I was younger when my Gramma lived with us for a bit. I guess I would wake up in the middle of the night and go to her room and talk to her about stuff, then get up and go back to bed.

Re: Sleep talker...
I was woken up at 5 am this morning to my son talking about a video game he wanted to play.
Then as I got out of bed to help him back to his, he went into the LR and climbed on the couch, asking me to put the game on. Told him no, and was just about to help him back to his bed when he got up and went into bed on his own.
He was asleep the whole time. I guess I have a sleepwaker. He's done this once before, but I felt it was a fluke because he had just gone to the LR and fell back asleep on the couch.
I think I will have to check with his pedi at the next check-up if this continues. It's scary! I don't know what may happen.

Re: Sleep talker...
Missy, put a chain lock on your doors up high out of his reach. Make sure it's just tacked in with the thinest nails or tacks that the hardware store has, instead of screwed in tight, so that in an actual emergency (house fire) you could just jerk the door really hard and get out. He probably won't have the ability to get a chair or stool and climb up and undo it in his sleep.
And baby-proof your kitchen and bathroom.

(Love the new av!)
I chain the door at night, but one because Daddy works at night and comes home while we sleep. Everything else has been babyproofed, and I am lucky that there are no stairs in my home.
Daddy and I are gonna keep an eye on him over the next couple weeks, and when we bring him in August (already have the appt set, so I can beat the school physical rush) I am gonna bring it up, regardless of it happening more or not. Def gonna do a little research and asking around about whys, wheres, whats, etc...
I am told I worry about him too much sometimes, but that's my life right there!

Re: Sleep talker...
He's ok....its probably just a stage. I used to have something called Night Terrors. They were horrible HORRIBLE nightmares, and I'd actually get up and walk in my sleep and try to get away from whatever I was dreaming about.....my parents had to chain the doors....it goes away eventually.....my baby has them sometimes..........Their bad....but I just stay with him til they are over....
