OK guys, I'm in trouble here and I need your help. We have NO food in the house, so I'm going to have to go shopping if we're going to eat dinner tonight. What should I do?
Re: I have a problem that I need your help with.
I am voting for the cookie dough.

I say Mac and Cheese, although I don't know if I would say that if you need to go to the store. IF you have to go, then I say send the family off and enjoy the cookie dough!...lol

I was thinking popcorn would be a good healthy meal.. buttered, sprinkled with chipolte powder, sprinkled with parmasan cheese, or even melted chocolate.
So if you have a bag in the house, please reconsider your choices

Ah, but Dee, I'm allergic to corn, so no popcorn for me.

simple solution to that... popcorn for the family, cookies (from that frozen dough) for you. See? No problem!

Gee Rebecca, you've got a dog from Kentucky and also have an true Kentucky love for mac & cheese... it's a staple in these here parts (it's a southern thing). I personally do not like it, well except once in a while dh makes a pretty good one (nice and dry, crispy on top)
Honestly, there isn't a non-chain resturant in all the south that doesn't have mac & cheese as a "side"

It's a winter comfort food up here although the only restaurants here that have it are usually truck stops. Sometimes it's on the kid's menu at family restaurants though.

Mac N Cheese sounds good, it's one of the only things I can get my son to eat without a fight...
Also, it's one of the same things we do when we don't want to order out or go to the store. We usually have a stock of 5 boxes, so what does it matter to throw in 2 boxes!! mmm..

Dee, Rebecca has two that look like different emoticons that show the same thing when you use them.
And I told Scott on the phone that the vote was pretty much tied, so I'd leave it up to him what to do for dinner (since he was the one meeting his mom in town near the grocery store). He split the difference. Caly went home with Grandma and Scott got stuff for lasagna, not man 'n cheese. Only problem is that Zoe won't eat lasagna and he didn't get anything she does like. I should have known better than to leave it up to him.
Re: I have a problem that I need your help with.
I always keep Mac and cheese here. But the one meal I can always guarentee we have is spagetti. caue I will have noodles, hamburger and sauce. oh and garlic bread.
Mac and cheese wont make a meal here. we eat it alot, but it is with meat. LOL there HAS to be meat on the plate or my family wont set down.
Tonight I had fried link sausage on white bread and those vanilla creme cookies, the cheapest ones they make? I have 8 of them and 2 link sanwhiches.. BUT BR is not here. He is at work. And the kids had corn dogs. But we got in late from the ball park.

Re: I have a problem that I need your help with.
Scott fixed the lasagna and it was SO good, and we make waffles for Zoe. She calls them "awfuls" but she loves them. And since we mixed up a bunch of batter, I had some for desert. Yum!

Karen
Never leave it up to the man.....
I seriously can give dan the wrapper from the bread I want..
or a picture from an add
and still get the wrong thing.
He stopped to buy me a steamer ( for clothes), because he passes the store on the way home from work. I gave him the location in the store. I gave him the price. I showed him a picture online...
he got it wrong
seriously
If I sent him to the store and said get something for dinner... we would end up with jolly ranchers and jalapeņo chips

Scott is usually really good, except if he's tired. He was more tired than I realized. But I can't complain too much. He made a lasagna!
Re: I have a problem that I need your help with.
He is. He's a good man, a wonderful father, and he's silly, so we're a very good match. I am lucky to have him in my life.
