My kids all have strange names. Zaven Scott, Kathryn Calypso (we call her Caly), Zoe Linsky, and Lightning Quinn. When Quinn was about six months old I looked up and said I can't believe I didn't give one of you "Danger" as a middle name. So now Zaven and Caly are arguing about who has dibbs on giving their kid Danger as a midddle name.

Zaven is an Armenian name, and my family is Armenian. Scott is my husband's name.

Kathryn comes from the same root name that Karen comes from, and Calypso was the name of Jacques Cousteau's boat. Scott and I are both fans of his work and also his little known heroics during WW2.

Zoe was picked because Zaven wanted a Z name for his sister (as a consolation prize for not getting a brother, LOL) and Linsky was the last name of a fictional cat in Caly's favorite book series.

And Scott got to name Quinn all on his own, hence the Lightning!

dyk thats so cool when there is a history behind a name
dyk I am flippin between 3 message boards right now
dyk we are doing a sss exchange on one of them and it is gonna be so much fun
dyk this is a play off of the ss exchange at Christmas we do(ss=secret santa)
