Proper table manners Empty Proper table manners

Post by thebigscott Mon May 04, 2009 12:33 pm

Quinn (age 2 and 1/2) is eating rice. And he just brought me his plate for more. When he did he went to the silverware drawer, got out another spoon and handed it to me. Since he already has a spoon I just put the new one away and put his original one on his plate. And he promptly got up and got another spoon. The funny thing is, he's not using a spoon. He's just holding it while he eats with his fingers.

Well at least they know for some reason you should have one of those things at the table, not quite sure what for. (Unless it to give you something to hold so you don't shovel it in with both hands?)

It just tickled me because he was looking at me like I was a heathen for not letting him have a new clean spoon, and at the same time he was spilling food on the floor and eating with his hands.
